This link should be "West Philadelphia" not "University City". That ends around 40th street. This is near 52nd street.
call it whay you want he's 100% correct lol like in my head I’m thinking there’s NOTHING bad or sketchy about University City lol west philly on the other hand..so something as simple as this can easily throw things off.. but he’s correct this is west philly not university ..0

Nothing should be university city? What is university city?? A Marketing ploy by Penn University. Let’s just rename neighborhoods so it sounds better

Growing up in Philly, OI know there is a "big" difference especially after dark. I go to the U. of P. all the time at night and have no issues. Go west of 40th Street and that safety feeling starts to slowly go away. Happy, SAFE Mongering !

True.
If you really want to be that technical than just calling it “west philly” is too vague/ too broad. As “West Philly” encompasses an even broader area (including University City). Eh. Eh. See.
a more apt description would be like cedar park or west of University City.

Actually there is a HUGE difference. UC gets a ton of money from federal, state and some city grants. West Philly is just left to fend for itself. Upenn and Drexel students live in Ucity and businesses thrive there...West....not so much lol! It's West Philly...plain and simple. No need to look at Google and what they have the neighborhood labeled as Cedar Park or whatever- nobody including the people that live there call it that.

Thought this forum was for MP girls, not a geography lesson. Let’s leave the civil aspects of street/locale/and naming rights to the city planners and get back to what we want..... the gals!

It's not a geography lesson but a few words of advice as to where you are going can do wonders. Ignore and go in thinking you have the safety of Center City and you'll get rolled or have no car to come back to. This is the city averaging more than one homicide a day and up to 4-5 shootings a day.
