She’s 67 so her thinking is old school. She thinks if her neighbors see a minority it’s going to set off alarms. This ain’t Bensonhurst circa 1955. Her neighborhood is filled with hipsters who wouldn’t blink an eye if a minority walked by.

Her neighborhood is not filled with hipsters. Marconi has not been gentrified; it is too far south from center city for that. Stick to what you know, as you obviously do not know south philly.

I wish she saw races outside of caucasian males.. and to be honest it’s 2020 south Philly even in the stadium areas isn’t all Italian anymore not like the 1970s.. the sighting of a black, brown or yellow human in the neighborhood isn’t as “extraterrestrial” as I think she’s making it seem..

ii know about the. Softball league. I live and work within a block of Marconi. If it were not a south philly Italian neighborhood we would not have been able to get instant crowds of hundreds of people when Kenney threatened the columbus statue. Now four blocks north, I might agree with you.

In general, the people in that neighborhood are gonna have friends that are also Italian. Black or Asian guys going into a house are gonna raise suspicion. No different than if a provider was in North Philly and White guys kept going into a house in a neighborhood with hardly any White residents near bye.

She used to do Dikembe Matumbo when he played for the Sixers but not at her house. She had a studio nearby 20 years ago.

I have a friend who was at Georgetown when he was. Matumbo would walk into parties an announce "Who want to sex Matumbo" - there were always takers!
