different times Mr. Blue, very, he was not an md when they connected, not even in college at this point, we were young nyc punks. she was young 2, she use to hang out at tompskins square park, comes from a well to do upper east side family, just going thru growing up issues. we used to call them crusties or some thing like that. young adults trying to figure things/life not wanting the support of their family. we would hang where the ladies would hook up, for the fun and few bucks.
a few bucks would buy you ladies you would not believe this days. we did not have much money either. so the prices were target to the customers wallet. it the hustle. ladies would hustle. some now very well known artists, actors and actresses were part of this scene, they were no-ones, just young folks looking for fun and a little money. bowery, alphabet city. the underground, union square park, washington square park, webster hall, many hook ups would happen right there in the park or if you had a car, yup, car dates. the money paid was not that much. webster hall, i leave that story, many, for another time.
furthermore, a very well know singer was a dancer in the clubs in tribeca, lower west side. 20th street on the west side. some very seedy, almost all of them. this is before giuliani, closed them all. we saw her dance and provide extras at the clubs for extra $. early 80's, she made a career portraying that look, late eight's, early 90's stripper. and some of her songs actually touch on her experience with mongers, listen carefully. she still at it. lol, the singing, not the whoring. i think. lmao
she got it form the life she experienced in nyc in the early 80's. imho still uses that mo to stay relevant.
the memories, ymmv and stay safe.
