.. had an appointment today and mentioned that I was having some lower back problems and sciatic issues.. Jaz suggested that I try a round of “cupping “ therapy... so I said go ahead why not.. she brought out a set of vacuum cups and set them all over my back and butt.. a little strange feeling but didn’t hurt.. had me stay still for about 10 minutes while she massaged my upper back and head.... when she removed the cups they left some marks and she said that the I should feel some relief from the sciatic in a day or two... hopefully she’s right... be advised although this doesn’t hurt but it does leave some black and blue marks where the cups are applied... will post results...

Cupping always leaves marks. Looks like you were grabbed by an octopus for a few days, but very helpful when it is done right. My old acupuncturist used cupping and it worked wonders.

In my experience it has helped, but definitely leaves marks haha. I saw Jasmine had the marks also on my visit. I remember a thread where someone thought the girl was sick when they saw the marks

I heard of cupping but mostly used on upper back. I will have to try it out as I also suffer from lower back problems and sciatic issues. Shyt, that may be my excuse to head over to RBS and try this out for my first time. At least I can go in with a recommendation from others.

You can also try something called "Gwa Sha" ) pardon my phonetic spelling of the Chinese. If the ladies are Chinese they will know what you are talking about. Same idea as cupping but a bit more intense. Uses edge of ceramic cup or ceramic with oil for lubrication to stimulate healing/immune system. My SO and I use often to relieve soreness and general fatigue. Can be done light or hard. Might take a good 30 minutes on your back. Not painful but will probably leave marks - depends on the condition of the area being treated. If the muscles are tight or injured (like throwing out your back) you might look like you have beaten with a hose, otherwise might just be lightly pink. If the ladies are familiar and willing, I would definitely recommend - but you might not feel like engaging in any additional activities afterward as it tends to be very relaxing (YMMV).
