Anyone know why they prefer wechat? I have the app but don't really use it much as I don't see the benefit over standard text.
WeChat is a multi use app. They use it for much more than just texting. WC is very versatile. Many of their phone calls and FaceTime they using WC. They also send money via WC. And, their are certain Uber drivers that accept RMB as payment in the States via WC. Basically it’s their lifeline.

Yes you need wifi or data. If no wifi then you need to use your data. If you have unlimited data then great, if not and you are over your gig allowanace, you will be charged for using extra data on your plan.

WC is widely use in China. It's the most popular msg app in China but I believe PRC Government have a say to filter out sensitive subjects. It's a great app except for the fact that the government filters out stuff.

I've had nice experiences at that place and one recent very unpleasant one. Watch out for one with funny looking ears. She has bad attitude and gives terrible service.

The WeChat servers resides in China. That means you can count on all WeChat conversations to be monitored by the Chinese Gov't.

Just wondering how attractive were the two girls there (face wise)?
The one I saw was not very pretty, but I thought her body was good so I went with it. The other one they wanted an upcharge for and I did not have it with me, so I went with first one. A total miscalculation and I think rather than settle for second best I should have said see y'all another time. The other girl just wanted to get it over with and wanted to see how much she could deny and ask more for. She actually was hurting junior during CBJ and I was losing it and just I left after demanding money back and getting a partial refund.

Tiawan is where I vacation. Clean air, nice people, great food. After going there three times I now know why they call themselves Tiawanees and not Chinese
The whole "Taiwanese" part is a very very long discussion, which I won't get into here. But if you enjoy Taiwan, you should try Singapore. Same language set (Mandarin, Hokkienese, and English), but with a bigger SEA mixture with the old British Colonial feel of HK. Just a lot pricier.

That is why I am not going back to the Mainland..I wrote enough in hanzi chinese characters to get me hung 10 times over.
They are correct to fear you. If you went to China, your mastery of the persuasive arts in several written language and spoken dialects combined with your knowledge of geopolitics would topple the PRC in a matter of days.

You didn’t even mention the statue of you in the center of the capital... with the inscription in hanzi Chinese characters you personally proofread.
