Couple of things massamcurry: First don't quote the review (that's a Board rule) because it can place private details out on the web. It is also not necessary because each review is its own thread. We know which review you are referring to because we are all reading this particular thread. Second, the article is from 2011. So it's a little out of date. I believe the last major Bergen County bust was in 2017. Places do happen from time to time seems especially true in Edgewater, Cliffside Park, and other towns. As GJ points out Passaic Spas seems to fare better than other towns in Passaic County where there have been busts in the past.
The article you quoted goes back 8 Yrs , and the question is , can lightning strike twice! With all the crime going on in some cities , like Passaic , Hackensack do you really think the younger cops coming on to the force really care about busting a Spa .....they just want to stay alive long enough to collect a pension. A friend's relative had recently become a cop ,and was cruising in the cop car when he noticed some suspicious activity , possibly a drug deal . When he tried to leave the car to see what was going on , the older cop said hold on , Fuck em ...why look for trouble? He only had a few more years to pension and didn't want to rock the boat! The young cop was learning fast! I guess that is what they call on the job training LOL
Reminds me of the movie "Colors". Veteran cop played by Robert Duvall is paired up with rookie cop (Sean Penn). Penn is wild and Duvall is trying to get him to slow down. Duvall says to Penn: "There's two bulls standing on top of a mountain. One bull says: "Hey pop, let's say we run down there and fuck one of them cows." Older bull says: "No son, let's walk down and fuck 'em all".
