Nice review - in addition to the funky steps the aroma of rotten fish is a real eye-opener! This place is great, but may not last long after the professional millennials start moving into the over-priced townhouses being built next door.

Maybe along with a tax abatement a spa abatement should be offered by the city. Help's provide employment for the local Asian Philadelphians to stimulate center city commerce.

The bigger problem for 9 VIP is when the building and site are sold for more condos. Same with Wood Street when the parking lot and tge rest of both sudes of the block are sold for the same. The new high rise at 10th and Vine is really going to jump start that area.

Nice review. I have many times not been able to make it beyond the step2 after slippery slides. Probably will skip it next time and see if it allows me to go past 2.

Yes, thought the same as to what will happen once the building next door comes up.
We need another discussion to track "spa life post closure", if they relocate etc...... Last week we saw WCT close all of a sudden without a trace
