I'm no expert, but I think the ethos of ENM is honesty to everybody involved, including your partner. I've met a bunch of these girls and it's remarkable how open they are about talking about all kinds of sexual subjects. I'm very green to this scene, but the conversations I've had with girl and/or girls and boyfriend include (1) girls who fuck a lot of guys and are open about it to everybody (so a generic loose girl except she's open to her guys about it), (2) couples who look for another couple for swaps or another person of either sex to do straight threesomes with, (3) girls who are into dom/sub/kink stuff, sometimes for money, sometimes not, usually involving penetration, etc etc every permutation out there.

I understand the point of jealousy and that's a hot topic that ppl address head on and ppl come to an understanding ahead of time what they or their partners will accept and play within those rules. and it's easy for them at any point to say, no that's enough. I'm still figuring it out, but it definitely sounds like a very different thing than traditional sneaking around or jealousy fueled rage type situations.
