Thinking of bringing a bottle of wine for the provider and I to drink while she massages to build a rep and have a bit of fun

Good idea, bad idea? Any luck with this in the past?

It depends if she likes wine or not. It’s a nice gesture though.

September 10th is Mid-Autumn Moon Festival for Chinese, Koreans and Taiwanese (but not the Japanese). That day, rice cake or a box of fruit is a nice idea.

I brought a decent white and a decent red to an ATF. She was very appreciative, and very much showed it. Her shop got shut down not too long after and she invited me to her apartment. ( I’ve mentioned this in another thread ) The two bottles were in her kitchen when I walked in.
My takeaway was she didn’t drink but appreciated the gesture.
I guess I’d say, bring gifts that make sense. Shit, it can’t hurt!

I can speak more about Chinese in that they don’t like good wine, LOL. I had a group over my house and they brought a box of Franzia. Ugh. Some will drink whiskey. Most will drink Champagne, Prosecco and the lighter fare. If you can find the peach flavored sparkling wine by cupcake, it’ll be a win. But only if you have seen the girl before. Bring fruit too. They love fruit. Savory things, not sweet. Hit up a Chinese grocery store. If you’re brave, get some durian, but hold your nose and suck it up. It will elevate your session if you think about them. They love the little things. Well, they love the big things too, but wait until you’ve seen them a LOT before you go that route and are looking to advance…..

If you want a gift that will be appreciated, give her the gift of MONEY, or a gas card.
At least you know it won't be given away or thrown in the trash.

Moon Cakes and buy then now. The price will more than double close to the 10th.
A mooncake is a Chinese bakery product traditionally eaten during the Mid-Autumn Festival. The festival is about lunar appreciation and Moon watching, and mooncakes are regarded as a delicacy. Mooncakes are offered between friends or on family gatherings while celebrating the festival

At the asian places, fruit always went over well and the ladies would share amongst themselves. A box of chocolates on special occasions, K-Gals loved it to share around the shop. And if its that kind of shop, a bottle of champagne with some drinks for the ladies and the rest in the room for you and your provider. One lady loved cognac, but she was a rare bird. : ) But fruit is the most accepted and also bang for the buck I think.

It depends a lot on the girl and the culture. Koreans and Taiwanese (not to mention the ephemeral Japanese) are more westernized and may appreciate what we would consider "normal" gifts like wine, etc. Mainland Chinese are a different breed. I wouldn't bring a Chinese girl wine, not that she wouldn't appreciate the gesture, but it still would be mostly wasted.

Chinese girls in general are poor gift receivers. Their sense of entitlement shows whenever a guy gives a gift. A lot of them will complain or somehow not show much appreciation. It's weird.

I once asked a girl when I was on the way if she wanted bubble tea. She said yes, so I brought two for us to enjoy together. She immediately took hers out of the room and said she would drink it later... That was the last time I ever did something like that.

Mooncakes for the holiday, would indeed go over well, but I'm not going to jump through hoops for these women who really only care about $$.

If you like the service, throw her an extra $10 or $20. Believe me, they will remember that much more readily than the wine.

Yup can't be more true than this.

Yes. Cash is king. But little gifts to AMP gals you are getting to know can reap really great benefits. Small things as suggested above like fruit. It’s that we are treating them like humans.

I like to give cash gifts that are thoughtful. Like for New Years, i gave my IT girl $222 in new crisp bills and in a proper red envelope.

Make sure to avoid unlucky numbers in their culture. They really do remember the little things.
