Not really, it's simply a matter of what's good for the goose is good for the gander, or if you prefer, what goes around comes around.
Then I expect you would condemn both for doing it--which is not what I hear you saying. I hear you justifying one despicable abuse by saying others have done it before.

Just like Koon who says "If the rules allow McConnel to do it, it's not abuse. But when Pelosi does it, it's despicable."

No--it is despicable when any of them hold up bills to add extraneous political crap. It is despicable when one person sidetracks bills that the entire chamber should vote on. Wrong when Dems do it, wrong when Reps do it. Actually quite simple if you believe in the principles over the instantiations.

I never said that. I don't really have a problem when bad bills are stopped regardless of the procedure. I have a BIG problem when good bills are.

And that's a Democrat staple, kill good stuff by the GOP and pack all bills with Dem wish-list items.

If the GOP packs stuff into a bill that I deem detrimental to the country you won't find ME defending it.

I'm on record saying anything in this bill not directly related to CV 19 aid I am not in favor of.

Don't get me wrong there are plenty of big spending republicans who value taxpayer money as little as Dems do. Dem-lites .

I don't think you'll find anything as disgusting on the GOP side as what Pelosi was pushing for:

1) Pelosi’s bill uses the words diversity or diverse 63 times, the word inclusion 14 times, and the word minority 109 times.

2) Pelosi’s legislation would require companies to supply a comparison of pay among sexes and racial and ethnic minorities.

3) The bill is meticulous in its attempt to coerce companies to count Americans along identity categories in every nook and cranny of corporate activity.

She never misses an opportunity to play identity politics even in the middle of a nationwide health crisis.

It wouldn't even be an issue if a bill intended for CV aid would be the only thing included. To me it's a crime to load up a bill with other non-related issues.

Do a separate bill for each specific item you want addressed instead of huge omnibus spending monstrosities.

I have been advocating for simplified 1 issue spending bills for a long time but Washington doesn't give a shit what I happen to think.
Neither does anyone else.

I draw a big distinction between relief for travel agencies and casinos - both have been crushed by Covid 19 through no fault of their own - as opposed to planned parenthood, climate change and other pet projects that were proposed by the dems. The former isn't pork as long as the $$$ is distributed fairly within the various participants. Sorry not seeing any equivalency there at all.

Never liked that guy. The Dems were always able to push him around and he often caved in on issues without fighting for Republican principles. He is a very unprincipled man IMHO..

Although I'd bang his wife any day of the week. She's pretty old but still very elegant looking lady.
