Read the Bill, especially the back end where they say who gets what. My two takeaways - I'm sure there is enough waste on both sides and there are too many govt agencies.
It wouldn't even be an issue if a bill intended for CV aid would be the only thing included. To me it's a crime to load up a bill with other non-related issues.

Do a separate bill for each specific item you want addressed instead of huge omnibus spending monstrosities.

I have been advocating for simplified 1 issue spending bills for a long time but Washington doesn't give a shit what I happen to think.

McConnell is the closest thing the country has to a one-vote dictator, but that seems perfectly OK with the RWWs.
Guess you don't remember Harry Reid--Left wing darling who also had a huge backlog of bills he would not bring to the floor. Although, I am grateful to him for the Nuclear Option .....Ha Ha Ha Ha.

Depends why he's holding up the bills. I would have to hear his reasoning. With Nancy I know the reason--it's always with the intention to load it up with pork.
And with MM it's to further his/Trump's agenda. That is NOT supposed to be one person's decision--the Constitution gives that power to the Congress as a whole.

It really does not matter the reason--McConnell is usurping the power of the entire Senate. Sad you are angry with Pelosi's abuse of power, but quite approving of McConnell's abuse of power. Sad, but not surprising.

That is a stupid post, and a gross misstatement of what I said.

No, I don't forget Reid, nor did I support it. It was wrong for Reid, it's wrong for McConnell. Why is it so damn difficult for supposedly intelligent people to see that abuse of power is wrong no matter which party does it?

Do you approve of McConnel's power grab? If you do, and you condemn Reid for the same thing, then you are hypocritical.

That post I can completely agree with.

This is easily the most severe economic crisis the US has faced since the Great Depression.

Up above you say both sides do it which often times is true but in this instance is not- not even close. The Dems need to be called out for their BS. When word got out what they were up to they quickly capitulated cuz it was an awful look. Here is just a snippet of their BS:

AOC is ticked that checks aren't going out to illegal aliens here in the US;
The Dems wanted $$$ set aside for Planned Parenthood.;
They wanted $$$ set aside for solar and wind tax credits;
They (Schumer) wanted no-strings attached funding for the states so they could use toward their fiscal woes;
They wanted to create new federal mandates to override state election laws;
They wanted additional spending for climate mitigation efforts.

What the fook do any of these items have to do with this crisis?

if it's within the rules of the Senate how is it an abuse of power (no matter what side does it)?

I think Pelosi wanted to put in AA/EEOC racial/gender stipulations as well. Unbelievable.

Yeah it doesn't hold water when people say "both sides are equally bad". That's just willfully refusing to see what plainly stares you in the face, just to try to make yourself the supposedly most balanced guy in the room. It's a cop-out. The dems in Congress are monumentally more corrupt and morally bankrupt than the GOP could ever be on their worst day. And I say that as someone who probably wouldn't even have many nice things to say about 75% of Republicans in Congress. To say that one is no better than the other reflects an inability to make fair and proper distinctions about those who "govern" us.

they may be just trying to prevent giving germs to others. Masks hold your germs in, they do not protect you unless part of a whole body PPE (personal protective equipment) solution
Exactly seems that you understand the point ( : If 80% of the population worse masks, this thing would spread less quickly (eg Taiwan, Singapore) since people that have the disease are less likely to spread it. How dense can people be.

If she did that, it is disgusting.

Just like some of the "Fredom Caucus" nuts doing the same thing in the Senate. That too was disgusting.

Pelosi and McConnell would both do the country a great service by playing less politics that way. But to see it in one but not the other is intentional blindness. Count up the number of bills--including those with bipartisan support--that McConnell has stalled in the past 18 months. If they are poor Bill's (and I am sure there are some of those) vote and kill them--but let the Senate vote on them. McConnell is the closest thing the country has to a one-vote dictator, but that seems perfectly OK with the RWWs.
This is another tactic that has gone on for decades. Read some history. McConnell is fulling previous Majority leaders.

You wonder who would spend millions for a job that pays a couple of 100k. Every bill that passes are written by lobbyists ( not the elected ) and passed with the knowledge the vig will be kicked back. Sort of like the underworld or bookie if you want his money.
my father-in-law was a DC lobbyist for his last five years, handed out 25k three days a week for access. He closed the office and retired, discussed by the corruption.
Grew up in central jersey and the political corruption would make your head spin. nothing happens without the elected wetting their beaks..

Would you wear a mask and gloves going to a spa when it reopen?

Will we see some returning and new providers wearing mask and gloves when they return to work?

Will any of you wear mask laying flat on stomach during massage?

Wondering....

Not really, it's simply a matter of what's good for the goose is good for the gander, or if you prefer, what goes around comes around.
