They write about it because it’s easy to write about and it sells. There have been so many articles about it, so many research papers, so many government and NGO studies about it that all one has to do is copy and paste and come up with a sensational headline and there is a new article. Journalists are linguistic masters, they can take a boring also ran story, change the words and make it appeal to masses.

Makes a lot of sense. Just that in those countries, they don't have rules for Commercial Properties that don't allow people to live there full time. Spas are lucky in that they can install shower facilities. Not something usually allowed, to discourage 24/7 occupation.
