Not sure how he’s going to stop prosecuting for unlicensed massage . The state would need to change that law and all the massage schools and associations are going to fight it in court.

The DA decides when to press charges and what to charge with. There's no law which says that they must prosecute any crimes so there's no change to the law needed.

Not prosecuting and legalization are completely different things.

Just permit the unlimited massage spa to advertise body rubs, non massage treatment. Call.it by a different name.

I'll take this as a good sign, but if some place gets out of hand so neighbors complain and/or there are reports of human trafficking, then there will be a total shift - again.

Not prosecuting also does not mean not arresting. You might get arrested and then if / after you are charged, the prosecutor would then choose to not prosecute / drop charges.

Yes. Different things. It’s possible to prosecute bc the law still exists. But the current leadership is choosing not to

This would be like punishing drug users but not drug dealers.
You are 100% right. The problem with the Nordic Model bullshit is that the only way you can catch customers, beside the bullshit internet sting operations, is to keep the women under police surveillance. So, the police and the state's attorneys won't get them for prostitution but for other things. Recognize that this is a very small step in the right direction.

Also remember DA Vance is not running for re election to the DA seat. So while he stated he’s not prosecuting for prostitution and unlicensed massage. The person who is elected to his seat may have a different opinion on the matter.

Yeah and it's been explicitly stated that this is their policy. I too was excited when I saw the headlines in the news until I read up on it. Just caveating that we should be cautiously optimistic. Still have a ways to go!
