Mask wearing inside spa

I'm wondering other guys experiences with wearing a mask inside the spa. I assume it's not a big deal during the massage, but what about the other services. Does it get in the way, I think for me it definitely would. What's the go around? Are the girls strict with you keeping it on?

I've been to two places since re-opening. First place I wore my mask going in, but once I was settled in the room, slipped it off and there was no issue. Second place required it at all times, no exceptions. I even had my own mask, which perfectly covers my nose and mouth without any issues, and she insisted that I take one of their masks and wear for the massage. (I wouldn't have gone there had I known it was going to be that strict).

I'd be concerned that their mask was used previously...like the sheets, towels and the thing they scrub you with in the TS

The couple places I have visited, mask was required the whole time. Face-down with the mask on is difficult to breath, but if you pull the mask forward a little as you lie down it will help.

I can't imagine having to wear a mask during the ST part of the service, that would drive me crazy I think. I haven't been out to a spa since March but I'm starting to feel that itch and might go soon. Just waiting for my ATF to come back from NY.

Ive been to two spas since going green. The first one. I wore a mask on the way in and she tild me i could remove it, bur she wore hers the whole time.
Then I went to a spa that i have frequented many times. I walked in with a mask on and she had a mask on. But as soon as she saw me she pulled hers off and told me that I could take mine off. She said she trusted me but normally wants everyone to wear one the whole time.

The mask is a PITA. But these girls are justifiably worried. Sooner or later some infected monger is going to come in. The mask gives them some hope of not contacting cv19.
It is something we are all going to have to put up with for quite some time.

Yeah man the more I think about it the more I'm shying away from spas right now for that very reason. I already have some other underlying health issues I don't wanna press my luck.

Usually I wear a mask upon entering. Once inside the room, the mask, and everything else, comes off.
When all is said and done, mask back on before leaving the room.

Single use paper covers on table, disposable napkins on pillows, and hand sanitizer were added measures.

Having to wear the mask during ST is what kept me from enjoying my last session ... no kissing, no nursing, no DATY ... I couldn't finish, so we gave up.

While the concerns here are appreciated, if the provider doesn't know you well enough, it is her prerogative to minimize her risk. Unfortunately, there are lots of people who refuse to take proper precautions, for whatever rationale they choose. It becomes her choice to limit her exposure, and the client's choice to accept the terms of service. Or not.

It would be interesting to know if those who visited spas without a mask requirement had developed a consistent business relationship, or if the encounter was random.

Absolutely, I agree. It is her choice to taken precautions and if she wants the client to wear a mask, that's her right too. I'm just saying that having to wear a mask during the ST portion of the service would ruin it for me, so I choose to not go at all right now. Plus I don't trust that some idiot isn't going to walk in there being partially sick or asymptomatic. People are ignorant out there.

While it would be nice to identify shops that appear to not require masks, there is guarantee that you won't be asked to wear one at any one of them. Mongers have been using the initials "YMMV" for years, and we all know what that means. The provider is (and should be) ALWAYS in control of what she chooses to allow (or not) on an individual basis. Why should anyone expect the wearing of a mask to be any different?

If you are concerned, ask her! if you are not comfortable with her 'rules,' then simply go elsewhere. You are not obligated to stay just because you walked in the door.

My visit was to a provider that I have been visiting for a few years. Just a month prior (June), she didn't make me wear a mask. That was a much more enjoyable visit.
