That make me nervous. I did get screen yesterday. Whats the usual way for screening for new clients? They did ask for driving license and employee verification.

I can't believe how many of you guys give up that info. The recent news just underscores the potential danger you put yourself in. What do you have to lose if your info gets out personally and professionally?

Just to clarify, I know there will always be inherit risks in this hobby, but why give it to them on a silver platter?

You wouldn't. I'd just move along to another org that doesn't require that kind of screening. Everyone has their own risk tolerance. I just stated mine. Lucky for me, I was somehow grandfathered in at LSC before the clamp down on screening and was never asked to provide ID or my work info.

Get into another org like AA or KGA-- my recollection it's easy to get in those places. Maybe then you'll have references to give LSC if they'll take them. But I seem to recall that some orgs don't always take AA/KGA as references.

References being taken depend on various factors. Like time of the month, who is PO doing screening, etc etc.


Im a big believer in power to the people and lots of public info, but since orgs read these boards, saying who can screen loosely may result in making those orgs reconsider.

I'd say, there are three main tiers. There is loose screening that most orgs don't accept, there is good screening with ref sharing, there is no ref accepted. All orgs know each other's phone #s and they all know who screens or who don't. And many have a phone db of mongers they share. Kind of a review cache for mongers.

Corgs are usually solid for stepping stones too. Unlike korgs where korgs can say they don't reply, corgs will reply to ref checks.

I guess that the PO has plenty of customers, so he doesn't care if customers want to provide ID.
