Hello fellow mongers, hope you all had a nice holiday in the midst of this freeze.
Wanted to get your input on something as I get readjusted to the scene. I have vitiligo (discolored areas of skin) in large patches from shoulder going up to neck/chin. It's not cancer, an infection or contagious, but god knows how difficult it is to get this nuance through native English speakers yet alone, Asian providers that don't speak the language. I'm in a better place now with being understanding that people still may not want to touch it or be near it, it's their right and I respect that.
With that said, I've been turned down from several places throughout my lifetime. I've found my spots and regulars at my old place but here I am in a new place called Brooklyn/
Because of genuine back issues, I do prefer providers that give therapeutic massages and stick to regular teasing/HE rather than FS. I found that older (not so.. easy on the eyes providers) have be most compassionate and understanding. I appreciate them a lot.
So far, I've had relatively good experiences at:
- Serenity Place Spa? 69 Lafyette Ave.
- Someone named Judy at 4th Ave but apparently she's no longer there
- Healing Garden on 634 4th Ave.
- ABC Massage on Nostrand
In Manhattan:
- West Garden Spa (though a bit pricy)
- I've put U-Spa on my to visit list as I'm not sure if this is the place where a provider I met years ago may still work at (A lovely, freaky older Korean woman named Sue) though it's my understanding she has retired.
Anyway, I digress, if there are recommendations for older, and rather nonjudgmental provider (preferably in BK near park slope, sunset, etc.) that you'd recommend for therapeutic and relaxing time, I'd greatly appreciate it. DM's are welcomed if you don't want to share publicly. Thank you in advance and Happy New Year!
