Authorities announced the charges Tuesday after a months long investigation into the illegal sex trade at Chantilly Lace, 106 Seventh St., and Exclusive Lingerie Boutique, 77 Seventh St. The city shut down both businesses for code violations after a police raid on May 23.

Sounds like the shut down the biz in May and these guys were caught after the fact. Guessing most, if not all, were not there at the time of the raid. So that means LE got them from some combination of video surveillance, biz/cc records or the owner ratting them out. It's also possible that LE kept the place open as a honeypot trap for a while, but the article does not mention that. One piece of good news: it was not an AMP, so probably no BS trafficking charges for these guys. But getting your mugshot in the paper is bad enough.

My guess is the church is doing a bang-up business after all the publicity.

Being an old Hippie, I consider myself to have as much spirituality as most, but it makes my blood boil to see where organized religion has gone. With the reintegration of religion into the political system, the United States has ended up in the very place the Founding Fathers tried specifically to avoid: a perverted political process in which the Scribes and Pharisees reclaim power 2000 years after Christ kicked them out. Let’s not forget that in the most powerful religion in the world, no little boy is safe.

I say this tongue-and-cheek, but perhaps the real deficiency with Trump’s Muslim Ban was that he should have included all the other organized religions.

This entire case is very sad. The local soccer coach was fired. Others may lose their jobs. For what? They went to a lingerie shop and paid for services in private.

The local reverend who caused this can go to Hell.

I feel bad for the siccer coach. There is a separate article about him. He lost his job and Im sure he will lose all of the other jobs he had as a referee and other soccer related activities.

If it involved children I can understand losing it all. But for crying out loud, it involved consenting adults.

There are some ministers I greatly respect for what they do and how they live & act.

But Thumpers like this disgust me. The "ministers" who too often are self-anointed, fleece their congregations as their "job", and try to shove their personal (often perverse) interpretation of religion on everyone else disgust me. Right down there with pimps.

Did a little more research, and the DA is not pursuing charges against the providers. It seems they see the providers as victims of circumstances, and are focusing on the johns for providing demand.

Damn, this is just awful! I'm scared to imagine someone harassing me when I'm just trying on panties in the fitting room. I would give a not very sweet life to this store. Complaints would rain down like a river. This is one of the main reasons why I like online erotic lingerie stores the most. I just choose what I like and order it home. At the same time, no one harasses me and does not break my psyche. Damn, this is terrible, and something definitely needs to be done about it.
