use your big head, not your little one. And the gift card thing is a common scam. There is a guy in Ukraine or Serbia or somewhere with about 50-100 people like you on the end of his line. Enticing with all sorts of things and pictures and "can't wait to meet you honey" and gets you all worked up and ready and thinking this is the real deal and then come the requests for "gift cards".
