Anyone try any of these Fake Meat products?

I tried Beyond Meat, I think it was called. Not bad, better than your usual veggie burger.

Burger King has the Impossible Whopper. I hear Impossible Foods makes the best Fake Meat.

I tried a couple of spoons of chili made from that impossible stuff.
It wasn't bad.
But just knowing what it was prevented me from wanting more of it.
I may try the Impossible Whopper. I hate the fast food places, but don't know where else it is sold right now. Apparently they are just starting to bring it to markets.

I have tried the Impossible Whopper and it isn't bad. However, the health benefits are not as great as you may think. Still fat, salt, etc., part of what makes the burger tasty.

Delicious temptations are for having a treat, not as a steady diet of them. Going to have a Wopper, why not just order a triple real meat one and let go just once and a while.

I feel the same about "chicken and tuna salad" made with tofu. Vegetarians claim it tastes like the real thing? The fact is, no, a chicken is a chicken, a cow is a cow and tofu is tofu. I've had good tofu dishes but there's no need to disguise it or say it tastes just like something else.

A fake burger is just that, a fake burger but I would rather have the real thing.

This is just said toung in cheek, lol.

I agree with the comments. Clearly fat and salt content make it taste good. As for the real versus fake, it was more out of curiousity on my part.

I had read a review that was done with a group of people sampling different products. Some of the people in that sampling actually thought the Impossible Burger was real meat that was put into the samplings as a bit of a joke. It was not the case, though, so some of the reviewers were amazed by it.

I’ve had fake whoppers and fake titties. I can live with both, but they are nothing like the real thing.

Well, I gave the Impossible Whopper a try. Been many moons since I've been to a BK.

Ordered it without cheese. Not a cheap burger, my friends. $6.50. I will say, it was pretty good. I was also impressed with BK fries. Decent fries.
