I have a distinct higher end daily driver, one you barely see on the road. It finally happened a few weeks ago. A co-worker asked me if I was in the Newtown Square area (the day I went to Yao). I said yes, I had to go see my doctor to get a script and asked why he was asking. He told me his son (who knows what kind of car I have but hasn't seen it in person and isn't that old to be a car guy) said he saw a car like mine in that area and wondered if it was me. I think my co-worker probably saw me and just made it up (not that he cares or I care but still).

Then, last week I was driving to a hotel to meet someone. After my meeting, I'm pulling out and thinking, fuck, if someone seems me pulling out of this random hotel in KOP.... I mean, that's always a concern but to anyone who knows me probably knows my car as well...

Anyway.. nothing more to say other than.. maybe I should just Uber to places from now on!

Same situation here… I can’t park in front of an amp or near one… always have to be creative where I park… and I’ve used Uber before to… add an additional 20 to a visit for a trip down the road and back… just common security….

Funny topic, but if you have a really cool, unique car it typically isn’t your daily driver. So you are a car guy and have the really cool rarely driven sort of exotic car and also have a pretty unique daily that stands out as well then you better not care what anyone thinks. And your SO should have zero jealousy

Back to the original post, seems you want to be seen or you would find other options that you already know to get to and from a session and avoid dumping in your back yard. Personally, I could not care less what car or truck someone drives, whether they park in front of a spa, or ever notice who is walking in or out of a store or along a sidewalk as I drive by. Even if I happened to spot someone I know, I would never even think to discuss it with him the next time I saw him as remaining anonymous in this mongering world is a priority to me.

+1 I think you should get a "beater". I have 1 beater that blends pretty well and 1sporty car that does not. Although I have done sessions in the sporty car, I always am more nervous and park it further away or around the corner. Without knowing what you drive, mongs should assume it's something with very high visibility. Yes, that creates a risk if people you know associate that car with you. People get sunk for all kinds of stupid reasons, beater cars are cheap and obviously you can afford it based on what you own that must cost $$$. I 100% concur with those who said buy a beater. If your SO questions why you need it, simple... you are putting too many miles on your other cars and it's devaluing them too fast. Purely an economic necessity. Problem solved.... just remember on the beater, no bright colors, nothing rare, the more common the better. And no unusual vanity plate either!
