I live in the area and get home around 12 a few times a week. I've always been interested in 40th rd since I'm attracted to much older women and Asians are my weakness. I see a few ladies standing there but never approach. Sometimes during the day time I might make eye contact with them so they'll ask me "massage?" but I haven't made a move yet. I'm worried about police since the area has been in the news. I think I've read around here that they actually will lead you to private apartments a few blocks away. Any truth to this? Anything else I should know about this street?

How risky is 40th rd these days?

It's not that bad. If your around there enough, you will get to recognize the providers. Yes there are a couple that will take you a couple of blocks over. That shouldn't be a deterrent though. To note... Periodically their are sting operations. It goes with the territory. Last week they made a quick run by Prince, Rosie, & 40th.
Well there is no longer that police satellite station there, but it still seems pretty hot.

Maybe that's true, maybe it's not, maybe the heat is still there, maybe it's not. But I see no reason to risk it. 40th has been consistently hot for months. And there is nothing on 40th worth having a police record. Spend an extra 20, 30, 40 dollars and go somewhere safer. If you like asian granny's 40th road didn't have a monopoly on those, they are everywhere (usually all the places that advertise young asians, mean younger than Moses).
Personal choices, but I consider 40th too risky.

I don't know, there's Tiajuana and Matamoros. Bangkok is pretty good, patio beach is even better! Then there is Olongapo and Subic City. Half of Nevada. The list goes on. There's plenty of places, just not in NYC.

I was at that area during the last week of December 2018. Everything was fine. However, I went back to that area around February/March of this year and noticed some changes including several walking cops and a small satellite office on the corner. I continued walking around and instinct told me not to take the bait. I walked over to a parlor on Kissena Blvd and felt safer. I have not been back to 40th for some time. I recommend stay away from 40th until further notice. Pro: Cheap! Con: On Media! There are many options elsewhere.
Someone on Utopiaguide said he was told decoy not Asian. I think there might also be an Asian decoy if the rumor about decoys is correct.
I was on 40th yesterday. I saw a few of the usual ones and we nodded and exchanged greetings. I was standing outside a restaurant waiting for a friend when I noticed a younger than normal looking one in a slinky satin yellow mini dress walking around. Our eyes met and she walked over but I didn’t say anything and neither did she. She walked up and down 40th a few times, always avoiding staying the other providers. I thought this was a bit odd. Finally my friend and her two friends showed up. After lunch I didn’t notice her.
Same her but it always pays to be careful.
From my limited experience with FI, it’s a waste. They can’t make it on 40th Rd, so they create an aura of mystique which is short lived.
There are always a few on 40th. It’s just that the selection isn’t what it once was.
