He’s right—you tip the waiter 20,000 won ($17 USD) and tell him to bring whatever type you like to you. He will then walk over to another table and bring that girl (or girls) to you. You then introduce each other and have a drink and go from there.

These nightclubs are where you look for a girl for a one-night stand. There are plenty of love motels nearby to go to once both of you are ready to f**k. lol.

May I ask which clubs in Seoul are like this and if the girls are attractive? I've spent a lot of time over the years in Seoul nightlife and it's changed dramatically. It used to be you would go to "Night"s and that's where you have to get bottle service with overpriced whiskey and fruit and the waiters will drag girls over, but you tipped them a lot at the end of the night (or before if you don't have an established relationship).

That scene has faded over the last 15 years and now it's mostly crowded nightclubs similar to Circle NY (which is in fact a copy of the original Circle in Apgujeong in the old Hard Rock space). In these new western style night clubs, you can still get girls dragged over to you, but the pricing now matches topshelf NY nightclub bottle service like 1Oak that can run into the thousands of USD per night. I enjoy those, but if there's a cheaper option, I'd love to explore what that's like.
