In Russia you work for the state. Here in the USA you work for the corporation , whether you are self employed or employed by a company - either way you need to go to a superior source for sustainable ongoing life.

If you have no business you are cut off- if you are laid off or furloughed you are cut off.

Remember you are free - but not that free

There are powerful people who would like to use this crisis to their advantage.
FDR used the last depression as the opportunity to greatly expand government and create policies that made US citizens dependent on government - a lurch towards socialism. There are current politicians who would like to take this even further.
A former UK PM has mentioned installing a "temporary" global government. There are others as well who would love to see this.
"Never let a crisis go to waste"...

I'm not saying this pandemic isn't bad. It is quite terrible.
But IMO, the coming depression and the governmental/societal changes it will bring will be much worse.

Who cares what a former UK prime minister says? How about the current one? Ah yes, he is the one who didn't take it seriously and is now hospitalized. The current president of the US is Trump at the moment. Is he also trying to install socialist government?

All the AMPs in NYC preemptively shut down (well before the government imposed a lockdown) . . . is it because they are using the opportunity to do something nefarious relating to one world socialist governance? Or is it because they are exercising caution and common sense?

No China is trying to impose us to move towards democratic socialism - we become easier prey - socialism in its truest form would anesthetize our society . I think the expression is the opiate of the people which communism applies towards religion

One thing is for sure.
The top 1% will be just fine.
It's those with less money and who will have difficulty riding out this storm that will be damaged.
And I doubt that the 1% will allow the situation to change to endanger their position.

The 99% pay most of the taxes - if small business topples and their workers fired, in the absence of low end taxes the government will come after the 1% . It’s two dogs and one bowl of food

Kind of on point I agree with a lot of what you say. I see closures and reopening. If you go three months down in the rent - you will pick up and emerge elsewhere . For every amp that doesn’t make it there will be 6-7 workers looking to hop on board elsewhere. That was already in play before this .

There might be less amps with more of a revolving bullpen - that would make sense as they will need to get tested often and wait for the results. Frequent testing will become the new normal . Eventually a vaccine will eliminate the need but for now yes.

We were headed for a deep recession without corona - corona just exasperated the inevitable. Trump just wanted to get re-elected before that - White House aids sent memos about the pandemic to him in January read Bloomberg News today.
He needs to be re-elected so that he can not be prosecuted by the Mueller findings.

CMP’s might lose customers due to anti Asian sentiment of corona emanating from from the roots of its origin . Me I love fucking Asians and will continue . The ones we know had nothing to do with this . They day they open me and my big hard dick will be first in line.

Ever notice the location of midtown amps all are a bit similar? Mostly older buildings, often with delis, barbers, and retail of the like? Many of them are owned by korean immigrants from the 60’s/70’s/80’s who did well for themselves and bought real estate—often the buildings they had their store in. They are also less hung up on sex and paying for it. They often find status in having a spa in their orbit. So, yes, some specific outfits will go away for a number of reasons. But, there’ll be ready to go/built out locations ready for the new entrepreneurs.

yeah - i would think it will be a revolving door situation - AMP A shuts down, a few months later AMP B shows up to rent the same space (which is good for everyone because it's already built out to be an AMP). same spots, rotating Mamasans, probably the same backers behind most of them

now, if the city decided it had other stuff to worry about and lightened up on enforcement, and given that there are a lot of girls of all ethnicities out of work (look at comments about 50% of restaurants shutting, etc), wonder if we might see a resurgence of non-AMP brothels as well?

I believe AMP good ones can afford to install Covid testing machines which cost 18K and test cost around 20 from Abbot or another vendor . Testing is very simple and gives results in 5 minutes. A simple training can do it. I believe government should allow every business to have this for safety of their customers or have contact tracing app like in SG or China but our politicians will never allow saying privacy concerns. 300K companies are now making masks in China now and soon markets will be flooded.

First step to banning socialism in this country needs to be banning corporate welfare. Until that’s done, the republican bullshit about the evils of socialism is just that—bullshit.
Were you alive in the fucking 20th century??? Socialist nations have murdered about 100 million. 20-40 million by USSR. 60 million plus by Maoist China. Pol Pot with about 1.7 million.

Also, the welfare state is not socialism I hate to tell you.
Socialism - "a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole. "

The welfare state in no way mean that you don't have private means of production and real estate. Don't parrot incorrect facts because you heard someone say them like some flat earther or anti-vaxxer.

I remember following the 2008 recession there was an influx of new talent because many ladies had lost their jobs and still needed cash to support themselves. One in particular was a 30 something Indian, upper east side, lost her banking job and was doing body rubs to make money short term. Turned into two of the best, inexpensive sessions I ever had, the second with all holes open. To bad I lost her info but I'm sure she return to civilian activities once the job market turned around.

Having said that, I have chatted with several providers who haven't had any business in weeks, and don't plan on any for another month or so at least. Once the dust settles, expect the flood gates to open up, lots of supply and bargains to be had.

Many years back at Golden Foot Spa (now Sunjoy and fka Asian VIP?) I tried out a provider who was a single mom - and definitely new to this - and could only work limited hours due to her kid's schedule. Her massage was ok and she was very shy. I saw her once or twice. She got topless only. I stuck with Annie. Her massage was great and ST was spectacular. Plus she had a great rack.
