Can’t compare 2010 to 2020. Also I did the research, and I try based on value comparison. For me, NYC Amps and CP is the gold standard for $300 and under. Why would I desire to over pay an indie when I don’t need to. At the end of the day, the value isn’t the same, in general. There are still some indies I’ve yet to see that look really promising
Generally a good indie not only satisfys your sexual needs, she can connect with you on a social and emotional level. I've paid upwards of $1000 for a couple hours with some really fine ladies who truly make the experience great and have much more of a connection which can and should make the experience hotter and better. If all you really need is a sexual release that I would pay anything more that a good AMP.
You can't even compare 2020 to 2020, it's going to be pre and post Covid...the future landscape may look a bit different. Since this is an AMP board and the OP asked about indies, does anyone think some AMP providers may go the apartment route? I'm thinking similar to Candy who set up shop in south philly in 2015-16. Fosta regs already increased the risk for brick & mortar AMPs, with the current pandemic and economic meltdown many of them may disappear completely.
I also hope many Asian providers don't return to their home countries due to this. The couple of providers I keep in touch with are riding this out at home in NYC. Both are concerned about recent attacks on Asians in US, as if the virus wasn't enough they also have to worry about racist thugs.
There may also be an influx of American women providing, between unemployed waitresses and college students with their allowance cut, the SB route may be the way to go. I've never really gone to see American women in the 5-6 years I've been doing this. As others have stated too many skanks and junkies at my price point. I found Asians much more reliable, cleaner and pleasant to spend time with - so I've stuck with what works for me. But if the landscape changes I may have to as well

Every foreign country is poorer than America and more difficult to make money. To be fair... american women escort because money - even in "low price segment" - are about 10x what minimum wage is, work is not as hard as cleaning/restocking shelves- and its tax free.
Min wage=15$/hour.
Escorting =160$/hour for lowest segment.
And let's be honest a lot of american providers at lower segment are not even trying to service.

A lot of it comes back to what poverty means in the US vs poverty in a country like Canada. In the US, an American FS provider in the 160-250 range is very likely to be dealing with literacy issues, stints of homelessness, debt, substance abuse, poor nutrition, incarceration, sexual/domestic abuse. All of those issues are on top of needing cash. And we're not even talking about the regulatory environment around sex work, and all the risks that come with operating an illegal business.
