What’s everyone’s thoughts on independents in the area ? Ive been looking on skip the games and a few other sites. Trying to see what everyone thought

My personal experience with independents in general has been terrible. This doesn’t include agencies or providers who used to be part of an agency/amp then went independent. I no longer risk the poor visit and stick to the known rather than unknown

Another new girl added to one of the Asian Agencies, makes it hard not to be tempted. I imagine they are a little low volume right now. I took the battery out of my car to make it harder to leave the house, lol. (not really)

Agencies and independents are nearly the same, they both are freelancees. I just think we should avoid all of them for awhile.

I've met only 2-3 indies in last 2 years. Honestly - I was disappointed every time.

I think I saw a general statement by one of the mongers here -

"indies in the price segment of under 250-300/hour are absolutely not worth it"

I agree with that statement based both on physical appearance, hygiene and service levels.

You think that this range is too low to keep hygiene up? Would be worth it just for their own health imo. Not talking about attitude but that’s a lot of dough for an hour of work. Yes, it is a risky business. But that’s one of the reasons it’s not a minimum wage.

I not saying to ignore C19.... but I find it somewhat ironic that mongers here afraid of C19 (I'm not saying you, generalizing) don't seem to have fear of other communicable bugs which are certainly a concern in this hobby for anyone who has a 2 brain cells that work. I'd rather get C19 any day of the week over HIV

I am with you. I am very concerned about STIs. No bareback of any kind even if provider allows.

Take showers within 30 min after contact. I do not kiss.

So my risks are pretty small.
For the record - I am not afraid of COVID as much - being younger (relatively) and healthy makes you less scared.

I am concerned about economic fallout- I think people are too optimistic and we will have depression on our hands by august.

You are right though. C19 tends to be worse for men based on recently available info. I do agree with others, as much as it sucks, I think we are best off waiting to hobby for a few weeks. Not telling anyone what to do - your choice and risk is yours not mine. But I for one am in the "take a break" camp, at least for a little mental piece of mind, although it's probably more likely to get C19 from the grocery store check out pin pad then a provider lol

You just need to do the research like anything else. We don't have a ton in our area but there are a couple that are very good. But you also have to understand your aren't paying $200/$300 an hour

I disagree. The best experiences I ever had were with indies that were on the cheap side. They tended to be younger (like early to late 20s) or older (45+). All types of ethnicities too. This was a time (2010s) when BP was still up, and girls were flocking to this hotspot (Philly/SJ) from all over the country.
