anyone else get a bit weirded out by all the losers and security around Grace? I know its in the diamond district and there a bunch of scumbags but it makes the hair stick just thinking about it. + i noticed there is a NYPD camera right next to the entrance...probably just watching the street but i've gotten paranoid as i get older.

42nd to 50th, from 5-6th are blanket out from NYPD/ private security cameras. Not only that, there are private cameras from diamond dealers & high value logistics companies that operate near diamond district zoned out both 47th and 46th. You have no choice...

Do anyone hangout at Italian deli at 45th? If you do, you know lots of detectives come to that store for the lunch. If you know any of them, just ask how much they know :)

But this is a hobby we choose to live with, you can't be paranoid about it.

How do I know? For the last 20 years I fart, live, shit, fuck and work around the area.

i never been to grace, but a question.
are they on the street or in a building. if they're in the building, what does it matter if there are cameras on the street

NYPD camera facing the entrance would be the deal breaker for me. Just a coincidence? Maybe, maybe not. Exercise caution.

The NYPD camera is one of those cameras mounted on the street light pole way up high, and the cameras face up and down the street, so it's probable that the entrance to the building is visible on camera, but unlikely that the camera is specifically there to look for mongers.

I used to go there when it was A&K couple years ago now it is called grace. LE asked me where am I going as I was waiting for the buzzer to open. I replied that I was answering to an AC unit service call from a client, luckily for me, I was carrying an electronic instrument bag because I didn't want to leave it inside the car. I waited on the stairs about 10 minutes and left the building.

So many guys get scaredyfraid for no reason.
You have heard of the Diamond District?
That's what the cameras are for.
This place is easy to get to, and no problems outside or inside the building.
I have never had any problems at this place.
And they have some of the best girls in the business there, and first rate facilities.
I go to many different places, and this is one of my ATFs.

I believe there's a mexican restaurant or catering company on the 2nd floor. You could also claim to be going there. I was never a big fan of the lack of discrete entrance at Grace, and I too have been accosted by the weirdos at the door. It's discomforting.

Granted they do have great girls. Still my preference is a location that is not diamond district like PH or NYAW - it's one less thing to worry about. The other bad thing about this location is that it is near 5th ave where they run a lot of parades. Kind of hard to keep the place open on those days.

That's the best time to go, everyone's preoccupied with the parade.
