The irony is that Trump, by his mishandling of this crisis, has now put American lives in China’s hands. We are currently depending on them to arrange delivery of vital medical supplies which we don’t have here. Ironically, the country that is responsible for this outbreak is the one best positioned to profit from it. Guess we must have gotten tired of winning..

IMO, the depression that this shutdown will cause will be much worse that the pandemic.
We could have shuttered old and sick people and continued with business as usual.
I know many here, especially one person with a wife in the medical profession has told horror stories of what is going on the the hospitals. And I believe him.
But it seems that the the ones affected are overwhelmingly old and sick. Yes, there are SOME that are young and healthy, but it seems to be extremely rare.
We could have gone above and beyond to protect the old, sick, obese, etc... without sending the USA into a 2nd great depression. I really believe that.
And yes, President Trump has allowed this shutdown to happen. And I emphatically disagree with him on that, and this will be on him. It won't cost him my vote, though,
as the alternative is a big lurch towards socialism, which I will never support.
But none of that has anyhing to do with my opinion of Obama. I consider him to be, by far, the most Anti-American president in history. Anti-traditional American. Everything that made this country great and what it is. But...that is only my opinion. I do not consider other people "evil" if they disagree. And that is the difference between people like me and the TDS crowd. I also think that Obama would have been WAY MORE agreeable to a longer shutdown...
