Learn Mandarin if you want to. I know enough words to navigate through a spa session. That doesn't mean they will let you in the door if it is a FOTB shop that only knows the ways of mainland China and caters to Chinese patrons.
They do it mainly for safety, because they do not know our language or customs (like dealing with rude American patrons). If you can speak a little Mandarin and some of their customs, they will usually be kinder to you on repeat visits.

just want to chime in since Flushing is mostly where i frequent, and once in brooklyn.
1. as most people said, the girls rotate. If you punted in those manhattan spas most likely you probably punted a girl that was in flushing before. I remember seeing a WG in flushing who had worked in the manhattan spa before.
2. If you connect with a WG it is almost worth it to trade wechat info. she is your golden ticket that you will follow the trail to new places. I remember following this girl i liked, one of the better punts i had in my life, and it took me out to brooklyn. i remember it had 6 girls working there. the most i ever seen. I never been back because the guy that runs it runs a very tight ship.

I tried a lot of places when I found out flushingincall. and again, as others have said, if it's too good to be true than most likely it is. most of these women are in their high 30's to low 40's probably? asians are very deceiving with age! they add some makeup and they can call themselves 22-27. I am asian myself and most people are surprised how old i am.

I'm not Asian, and I'm sure you have access that I simply do not have. To your point #4, I know some places that operate as UTR to most American hobbyist by not advertising on American sites, but they advertise openly on Asian sites.
One MMS that I'm friends with calls non-Asian Americans she knows personally to drum up some business. They are mostly her former customers. She may put out an ad on an American site for a couple of days to get some quick business then disconnect the number. The next door neighbor, who is also Asian, knows all about the business and allows me to park in his driveway. She prefers to keep things low-key with non-Asian Americans because we often have these more lofty expectations (just read the reviews on this site) and we can be overly demanding. With all that said, she sometimes has Manhattan quality talent and other times a bit more average.
I totally agree with getting the numbers of the girls. Flushing is a training ground for the girls that will eventually work at the less convenient and more costly Manhattan spas. I find the ladies in Manhattan to be better communicators and more skilled at building a fantasy on average as they have mastered their craft. To paraphrase post #27, I'll skip the major league ticket price and travel and just enjoy the game locally in Queens.
