Your lucky you got your flu shot when you did. Some pharmacies are reporting shortages already and have posted signs saying no flu shots available. Might be a temporary shortage. Can’t imagine the country running low on flu vaccines at a time like this.
According to the CDC, up to the week of 9/11, over 170 Million doses were distributed. That's almost the entire anticipated 194 to 198 Million doses that was originally projected for this year's Flu Season. Can't seem to find stats for total amount of shots already given out.

Zinc, has anyone ever taken Zinc and got sick? For some reason it doesn’t sit well with me.
It's not fool proof, but helps like other things. More so it helps you get over a cold faster.
May have been the type you used. The chelated like Voodoo posted is easier on the stomach. I take the orotate, which is sort of the same, and have no issues. Zinc oxide, which is usually the stuff at Walmart and CVS, can be rough on the stomach.

I got my shot and am taking my vitamins, but can't seem to get past my nerves about seeing a provider.

All the providers I could see are in Wilmington, home to UNC-W, so it's basically a College Covid Town.

I don't remember ever getting a flu shot and rarely get sick, including a mild case of covid. I'm retired and my exposure to others is greatly decreased so I'm passing on any vaccines for the near future. I may get the shingles vaccine next year as I hear that's a real pain to have. I'm going in 3 weeks for triple hernia surgery so as long as covid cases don't increase dramatically im ok.

I get the flu shot every year, and I've never had any reaction beyond a slight soreness in that arm. I got the 65+ version this year, and again no problem at all.

Vitamin
I have to get over to the pharmacy. I'd like to get Vitamin C and D.

But with everything going on these days, I feel like I'm whistling past the graveyard with these vitamins.

I'll probably get shot or run over by a truck on the way to get my vitamins.

Be safe, my fellow mongers.
D3 and zinc also

I've gotten a flu shot every year for about 25 years. Never had the flu since I started getting it. One mild reaction one year where I felt woozy and left work early. That's it. I trust the flu shot. I'm pretty sure this covid vaccine won't have side effects, but not 100 percent.
