If they don't offer a release after saying the massage is full body going in, I would leave 5 or 10 dollars for a tip since they lied to me.
Some times it requires cultivating a comfort level...I have been fortunate enough to "convert" several purely therapeutic spas...Or maybe they converted me???

Not a big fan of diy but with exploring new places I have run into it. If I pass I usually leave $20.

Is the standard a $40 tip for diy?
Would it be less if give myself a really lousy DIY? You know, a jack hammer approach or I don't give myself any soft touch? Now if i talk dirty and were to do a reach under and back door play....that deserves a bit more of a tip.

This is a thread where so much negatively could be spewed. For me I'd go out in my car and shoot myself if I was ever confronted with this reality. My research will never get me in this ever situation, I promise.

Research is fine. And if you know for sure what you're going to get, I guess you'll never be very disappointed. But personally, I also get off on not knowing exactly how a session is going to play out. That excitement of the unknown is becoming a bigger and bigger part of my choice of outings. Sometimes I've walked into a new unreviewed place and had immediate success. That's definitely fun. Other times, DIY has been a useful stepping stone to some great relationships with at-first reluctant UTR providers.

We all play different so I am not going to say too much to take this thread off subject. I find nothing exciting about the search to end up with a bad massage with little or my own ending. Up until recently I did not have the time to search because of limited opportunities that I had to fabricate. I would rather spend my time on what I am looking for and then cultivate a connection with repeat visits. I try to limit the one and done type encounters which even further reduces my desire and time for the search. And I am definitely not going to invest my time and money to get to second or third base by the third "date". But that is why we all have our own game, I prefer to hit the home run and then work on having the outside dates.

We all have to get some lunch and beers soon now that this pandemic is finally getting a little more under control. Cheers!

Couldn’t agree more with this. If there are not people like you, then there would not be people to have such research who feel they will never have a bad session to begin with. It’s the thrill of the hunt that makes the hunt worthwhile.

Amen brother. I love the trill of the hunt. It does suck leaving with blue balls, but I’m a gambler.

I guess if you have time and money to burn, TOFTT is worth the effort. Spa Hunters and Bella's with their pictures of the girls and the reviews spoiled me from being a hunter. There and other spas I visited, I can say that I only had three sub part sessions in seven years. Sorry you put yourselves through the torture.

I also see the good ones many, many times and do not have to keep finding new ones.

Thanks everyone for sharing your opinions. Its good to know the standard.

I have one go to place, but have a very limited window of time and if she's busy I'll try new places. While I have found other sure things, the massages with them have been lacking so I continue to try new places.

I typically tip $20 for an hour long therapeutic and typically pass on the diy. I have had some experiences where the st is very good and although it's diy they assist in other ways. In those cases I typically tip $40, which is the same amount that I tip for a lackluster HE. I guess I could bump that down to $30 and still have it be a good tip if $20 is the standard.

Guys who go to therapeutic or DIY places to “convert” them to something more are gluttons for punishment, much like the guys who go onto sites like SA seeking to “convert” the girls who want only “platonic” sugar baby arrangements. Why bother wasting your time and probably your money chasing a dream - or a unicorn - when there are so many more certain opportunities available?

I do 20 to 40 I tip for good massage at least 20. And if they stay around and stroke other parts of my body and i can feel them a bit which helps in diy.
