I have always ever called to make an appointment. It's never been a problem. I have been told that they keep track of phone numbers to determine the reliability of the caller. I would not be opposed to having a login system for making appts, but likewise no way I am using a CC. And since I never stiff them on an appointment, I should not have to.
I agree. Online login with phone number. You book and fail to show they can keep track of that too. Longtime "burner" phone is ideal .

I wouldn't mind some sort of anonymous reservation system either. I guess that for people that have been before, they are taking appointments by phone, but, as a new customer, I was not given that opportunity. Has any new customer been able to call and schedule over the phone?

I just tried to call and make an appointment (first time). I was told “online only” and when I refused, because I don’t want my CC on file, they said “no appointment” and hung up.

Thanks for the replies. I think that some people had gotten the wrong idea. They are asking all new clients to use the online system. It's not just for no-shows. It's a shame because the last time that I was in town, I was planning on going, but couldn't. That might have helped me avoid their current nonsense setup. I really do wish that they would relax their policy a bit or figure out some other way of confirming appointments because for me, and the others that have posted in concurrence, leaving your full name and credit card number is just too much.
