For those of you with cars, do you find it to be an advantage visiting spas in Queens? I have always preferred visiting spas on foot and disappearing into the streets afterwards rather than worry about parking and maybe someone making note of my license plate. But I realize with my car I can reach spas that are ordinarily tougher to reach by public transportation. Any thoughts?

No matter where, driving to a spa is no big deal. Parking can be an issue but that is all. Nobody is watching where you go after you park.

This is true and something I miss since I no longer have a car. I use to drive a provider home after being the last customer. Also its just more convenient, rather than having to take a train or a bus or just walking especially in the summer.

Flushing parking sucks.
Never once been to an AMP there, and never will. Old bags. Have no interest.
But going to East Seafood, Kang Sum Sung, the Soondae place on Northern & 156th (or so), and other places...Flushing parking Sucks!!! SUCKS!!!!!!!

there is a big lot nr the police precinct on union near 37th but can get bust at certain times and then you have BJ garage parking and street is tricky as some are 1 hour limit............there use to be a good lot on the starbucks block but now condos

Flushing is a big place. I've lived here over 30 years. For anywhere not downtown Flushing (5 block radius from Main and Roosevelt), I'll drive. You can usually find a spot within a block or two. And unless I know I'm doing a massive shopping run, I take the bus. I'm lucky in that if the errand is quick and doesn't involve carrying heavy items, I can still use the same ride to transfer to another bus back home, with a short walk afterwards. Even better now, as there are plenty of Asian supermarkets with parking lots, so I can easily avoid driving there. Because parking sucks.

I drive. I've visited a number of AMPs in Flushing and other parts of Queens. Some even near Queens boulevard. My advice: go onto the Google maps and scope out the surrounding streets, namely the side streets. IMO, if privacy is a concern, park a few blocks away. I got into that habit, not for privacy reasons, but because parking a few blocks away allowed me to consistently find a spot without circling. A little walking to save frustration and time go a long way. Especially if you're trying to keep any appointment.

Simply park a few blocks away from the provider. It would be silly to park right in front or on the same block.

The only issue is parking. There are some areas of queens where parking is a nightmare.

It can be annoying to have to spend 15 minutes looking for parking maybe more. Other than that cars are a necessity to hobby in Queens.

You should always park at least 2 blocks away, and there should be at least one turn you make. In other words you should always walk far enough away that the people seeing you get in and out of your car, aren't the same people who saw you go in and out of the providers establishment.
