While is good to hangout there once. I would go Geylang to their red-light district and do some house hopping. My old job send me to Singapore once a year, is pretty sweet kind of regret that I quit them. One of my cousin married to a Hong Kong girl and he moved there with her, so I visit him pretty offend, and hop into other countries afterward.

There are complex reasons but let me take a stab at it...
I think the dollar does go far depends on what you buy. The population density is very high there, so rent and housing is probably very very expensive while service and manual labor is much cheaper. If you want to live luxuriously, dollar won't get you far there, but if you want to live cheap and eat off street food, it would be cheaper. For every girl working in the industry, there would be dozens of younger hotter girls willing to work for less. Also, the society is much more male-centric where women are not as respected the western society. So you won't found many girls with GPS and most girls would be much more humble than what you see in the US.

KTV comes in low ends to high luxury. We tried both and I would definite go with the high luxury. The room we had was large with a stage and poles for girls dancing. Once we settled in the room with our Macallan bottles, beers and snacks, MMS called the girls in. The girls came in walking like a Victoria models with sexy lingerie, OMG. The room has about 20 girls. Girls stayed with you the whole night, from the beginning to the end, costed about 100-200 usd per girl depending on which KTV you go.
