Burner phones.

I've heard advice on this and other forums re: using burner phones and wondered if anyone has experienced any problems from NOT using one? e.g. unsolicited calls from providers, repercussions from LE busts like in the Robert Craft business in Florida? I sometimes think there is more risk from wife finding a burner phone than from finding a random text. How many of you guys use burners?

I used my real number for the better part of my mongering career (mostly amps, some outcall, good number of incall over a couple of decades) and never had problems. Latina fast houses are the only ones who would send pics once a week or so to advertise but that was after I got a burner number so it didn't matter. Otherwise, no problems at all.

More of an issue if you have an SO. Uncle Leo really can’t do anything ( Kraft situation) unless you have texted, emailed or had audio recorded of your call being explicit and/or talking currency. Call provider, do you have any appointments today? Great see you at 3. End of conversation. They got nothing. I only have burner do to SO, and it is kept off site.

Unsolicited calls and texts are the least of your worries. There are a lot of sites where you can find someones name, address, and family members from thier phone number. Last thing you want is someone trying to extort you. And it does happen. I received some gruesome pictures from a scammer requesting I send money or theyd find my family. Not that I would have paid if they had my real number, but it was comical rather than concerning when receiving it on my burner number

I use Talk-a tone app- Free, easy to install, uninstall and re-install, so when not in use I remove it from an old phone and re-install when I need it. They also allow you to burn and replace number once free of charge. I always pick a number from an adjacent zip code just as a precautionary measure.

Just curious , if it’s an old phone (I’m assuming you don’t use it) why the need to uninstall?

This is good. I'm using it now.

SO is the reason for sure. Always good at deleting evidence and text after secession and turned off the phone during and turn off location. My SO must have gotten into my phone and I think she got into Waze and looked up past drives in history and then started pulling strings and starting a big fight. Just never let the burner be found

Others have probably mentioned something similar in other similar threads, but even with burner, if you are going to use Waze or anything else for that matter, don’t use home address or even street as a start point, and don’t use actual street # of the parlor as your destination - increase or decrease by a few digits. Plausible deniability my friends !

Turn on incognito mode on Google maps, not much but at least it's not keeping history in the app.

Smart watch, turn off.

Definitely turn on incognito on your Google maps because one time I saw something on my Google home hub about my commute home displayed on it and I was like WTF? SO can see where I'm at. Never again.

Yeah one time I clicked on an AMP in Google Maps and it showed each and every time id been there, even named the days like some fucking vacation album. Incognito from that moment onward

Even when I scout a place, incognito mode. Anything that can lead me to this hobby I try to eliminate. Even browsing this website, I use Firefox focus. I've been lax with my gvoice and have kept it installed. Will probably need to uninstall soon. Just waiting for my unicorn to text me to let me know she's back, otherwise I would not have that shit installed in my phone.

I have multiple text apps with different numbers. I’m always canceling accounts and getting new numbers. I’ve gotten those texts trying to extort money with gruesome pics also to fuck with them to the point they give up.
