All-
I just drove out to Body Health for a redemption attempt to my less than stellar review back a few months ago. It has bright orange stickers on the doors like it was raided and closed by a health department authority.

The Berksmontnews has this bit of info: "Detectives working under the auspices of the Berks County Human Trafficking Task force used the internet to access information about the activities at Body Health. Additionally, customer reviews provided details of sex acts in exchange for money. "

Think about that the next time you're tempted to spell out exactly what happened during a session.

Exactly my first thought when I read that

Also surprised the spa lasted this long. All the great spas in Berks county were closed down about 10 yeats ago by DA John Adams. They fell like dominos starting with Peace of Mind near Hamburg.
True. Probably the best mongering spot outside of Philly at the time. York was a distant third. Lots of great K-girls in many of those spas. I had soooo much fun up there. I was about to pull into the K-girl spa in the old farmhouse near Leesport when I saw that raid on-going. A great provider there happened to be on vacation when it got raided. But later worked at Lotus Blossum just down the road from Body Health. Unfortunately, she got nabbed in that raid. Whenever I travel up Route 61 it is a trip down memory lane. I see no reason why this industry should not be legalized and regulated.

I know I’m kinda new to this, but I’m going to ask anyway. Are we giving away too many details in the reviews? Even in the private details part, all LE has to do is either post a massage review or buy in and they can see things in all their glorious detail. Being that they used this info in the Douglassville raid do we need to be even more coded and less detailed? I’d feel terrible if my description led to somebody getting arrested or shut down.

It’s Berks County!!! You can be vague in your reviews and it won’t matter. If those activities occur at a spa within the county it’s just a matter of time until it’s closed.
You're somewhat correct however I see no need to post explicit reviews. It obviously does not help to do so, especially in Berks county. I'd much rather keep good places UTR so we can enjoy them while they are open. No need to draw unneeded attention to them.

There is a reason Berks county is so anti-Asian spas. Someone a few comments back has the real answer.

It isn’t about anti-Asian sentiment either. When the current county central legal authority assumed office years ago all of the Caucasian, Negroid and Asian establishments that offered services similar to Body Health were shut down. The misguided premise is to drive the activity underground into alleys and vehicles where it is more dangerous for both men and women.

Mongers shoot themselves in the foot with reviews, historically.
Reading was thriving for at least 15 years. Just like Washington, D.C. Both were completely shut down. All the raids were joint with the feds who assumed all of the women working those spas were slaves. Most all of those spas were K-girls who traditionally stayed at the spas for up to a month with a mamasan who cooked and cleaned for them. I guess they assumed the girls were chained to their beds at the end of the day. The authorities should have followed the girls back to Flushing on "vacation" to their shared luxury apartments, and watched them go to womens' day spas, sushi bars and K restaurants when they were not shopping in midtown Manhattan. If you were lucky, you would get invited up there to share in the fun.

In the 1990s there were a number of Caucasian spas. While some of them were raided and shut down, many closed shop because they could not compete with the emerging Asian spas. Even today, the few that exist charge excessive house and tip fees. And most of those are Russian. In all my years of mongering I never knew any spa to be black, although there was an occasional spa that maybe had a black woman for some short period.

The websites that emerged were designed to share intel on the spas and escort services. I benefited from that intel and it is why I still use them and contribute. I will always encourage a monger to report on a spa visit. I don't need a Penthouse story, but having some idea of who is in the house, conditions, busy times of day or night, changeover schedules, locations, quality of service, parking, available TS, etc is valuable intel. I can read between the lines, but I don't expect guys to write cryptograms. It is what it is. If a given jurisdiction wants to shut down a place, it is usually in response to "neighbor complaints" or political motive. Spas are well aware of the climate of local jurisdictions and state/fed initiatives. That is why places like Reading and D.C. are still largely void of spas, and why others never locate or take big risk in other jurisdictions.

All of this could be avoided if the industry was legalized and regulated. As it is in many countries. In a society where gambling, alcohol, drug use and other vices are fully accepted it is ridiculous that this industry is not. That you can go anywhere and pick up a girl and have a sexual experience with her without any issue, but give her $1 and she and you are criminals, makes no sense to me.

In Reading in the 90s was much much different than it is now.
