Sheriff Judd has conducted at least 11 large-scale prostitution stings since 2013 that he publicly said were aimed at combating sex trafficking, resulting in more than 1,000 arrests.

A review of court records found ONLY ONE CASE that resulted in a successful prosecution on a human trafficking charge, though some potential prosecutions are still active.

TGBeldin you are wrong and you are disparaging redneck southern sheriffs. Most of them are better than this guy. Grady Judd was the guy whose department investigated and arrested Kimberly Kupps 7 years ago. He spent tax payers dollars to arrest a washed-up porn star and her husband who were barely making a living doing this. They spent tax payer’s money on this when their public schools actually suck. He saved his community not from the Mafia, or Al Quada or the Mexican Drug Cartels, he saved them from Kimberly Kupps. This is beyond dumb southern. I would like to know if they used the bait and switch tactics talked about on this board. Did they start with an adult that morphed into a child?

I agree that Grady Judd is awful, but the overall crime rate in Polk County, Florida has decreased. I would say on average he arrests about 1,000 mongers each year. Most are sting operations done at hotels and he publicly shames all those arrested with large posters, etc., at press conferences.

He can point to these stats and thus keeps getting elected sheriff. And in about a year, all of these arrested men will start going into Florida's Sex Offender Registry, with name, age, picture, and address available to all.

The registry sounds like an excellent resource for amps to use for direct mail advertising in the future. Florida is one f..ked up place. And imho, the climate sucks badly. The positive thing is they are all going to be under a couple of feet of water in 50 years.

For the average person who gets arrested for a prostitution misdemeanor and to then go on to a sex offender registry for a minimum of five years is a disaster. We're talking name, age, photo, and home address.

And what is absolutely terrible about this new law in Florida, among many things, is there is no data that indicates that someone who is arrested on a prostitution charge is a danger to the neighborhood or community. Nothing I have seen, unless someone can point to a study.

I hope this law is challenged and killed. If they really want to be serious about public safety, then create a registry for those arrested for domestic violence, burglary, arson, rape, assault.

Thanks. We do have to hope that Florida does not prevail. Getting the greenlight to videotape citizens in private rooms in a licensed business is as wrong as it gets.

Whatever the Kraft court case outcome, new laws, compliance inspection, complaining neighbors and out to get them mongers will still be in effect, shops across the board and throughout the nation are being forced out of business weekly. There has been a transition of girls going Indy or together serving from discreet locations. Getting their info and maintaining regular contact with them is our saving grace if and when this and other sites go offline once again.

I wonder if these arrests/ convictions will effect 2nd amendment rights as your backround check reveals arrests/ convictions. these crazy red flag laws have been abused in NJ with two neighbors involved in a law suit/suits claiming to be threatened and having the court remove one person’s legal firearms. Like we are loving in 1984
