I won’t judge how anyone spends their money whether it’s your preferred provider ethnicity, investment strategy or groceries. But let’s not forget this is a computer program anonymously (supposedly) put on the internet what 10 years ago. And let’s see- you have to have a factory of PCs solving equations to get new coins generated. Huh? I’m just saying.....

That software is all open source so anyone that understands it can read it. No one's trying to hide anything in the software. The second part of your statement is kinda true but there's a lot more to it than that but I won't go into all the detail.

Then there's the fact that Bitcoin introduced the blockchain, which every major company will have some form of it in the next few years. And BTW, the bitcoin blockchain is so secure it has never been hacked while our government servers get hacked all the time.

It’s more about how good money always replaces bad money and it fights inflation.

Maybe I'm just too old. I get the stock market. I understand somewhat why stocks go up or down I've read articles. I just don't get it. On a lark i threw 500 bucks on bitcoin when it was eight grand. Obviously things have taken off. I'm not going to get.rich either. How does this fake assert not backed by anything have value? Am I missing something?
Yes you’re missing a lot. There is a real need for secure transactions that don’t involve government(s). Not just from political intrusion, but also from inflation and destabilized currencies and/or regimes. The list goes on from here. It’s a big deal and it’s not going away.

Not to mention hiding wealth and evading taxes.

All of that data is available in the meta. It’s kind of like when you take a photo with any modern camera. There is information stored digitally in the file like location and time. Unless you take cash and convert it to bitcoin, there will always be a trail. I don’t know a way to do that. If your looking at avoiding taxes and hiding wealth there are much better ways to it. Bitcoin is really a platform to make secure payments and to have money that is not tied up in governments monetary policy.

The run up in Bitcoin is also causing investors to buy up Dodgecoin. Gene Simmons is even buying up Dodgecoin.

“ELON Musk and investor mania today sent the prices of Dogecoin and its big brother Bitcoin to record highs on currency markets.

The Doge cryptocurrency, a token based on an internet dog meme which started as a joke in 2013, was up 30% to a high of $0.085 (6.2pence).

Last month, it was trading at around $0.0075c (0.5pence) - an increase of some 1030%.
In the same period Bitcoin has risen a mere 25%, despite today's $5,000 surge to a record high of $44,899.

Doge's ascent has been buoyed by a wave of tongue-in-cheek endorsements from billionaire Tesla boss Musk, rapper Snoop Dogg and Kiss bassist Gene Simmons on social media.”

I haven't paid any attention to BC since about 2013 when I was using it to buy ads for some AMPs on BP.

I was paying about $250 each. I could shoot myself for not holding on to a couple thousand $$$ worth at that old price.
