Avoiding detection

I haven't hobbied since May, but am itching to see a someone soon. I've avetaged about once every 2-3 months since 2010.

For those with SOs at home, how have you been avoiding detection? Before covid, it was easy for me: "late meetings" and showering at the gym.

I've been thinking of bringing my own shampoo to sessions, not sure if that's too excessive.

Says you're going out to have lunch with one of the boys. And actually have lunch with the buddy after the session. Remember to sit in a coffee shop for a while so you'll reek of coffee instead of perfume.

Covid is the best thing that ever happened to me for the hobby! Work from home so don't have to deal with the office and boss. Make my own schedule so I can have an "appointment" when convenient. SO at work during biz hours so as long as I'm done by 3pm, I'm good to go. Have time to get home and shower again to remove any foreign fragrances. Company phone so she doesn't mess with it but I just delete any texts after session is complete. So far, so good. Of course, after posting this, she'll discover everything and I'll be divorced by next weekend.

Burner app. It's questionable if the SO finds a physical phone. At least with the app, you can excuse it by saying it's for spam calls.

I don’t have an SO but when I did, one good way to cover tracks is open another bank account and have your HR direct deposit the mongering money to that account. That way they don’t see weird ass 200-300 withdrawals. It’s the repetitive items that’ll give it away.

Cant use the gym excuse now too as the Bay Area is closing back up. Just get angry out of nowhere and storm off. Come back with food.

I usually go out for a walk, so no sweating etc. specially in Pacifica because its windy.

Great idea. Always have to be prepared with a story in case they find out about the 2nd account though.

My plan right now is to take a day off work without telling SO, and "go into the office" that day. I've actually been going into the office, wfh all the time has been too repetitive.

I'm going to ask for the shower to be water only, maybe have change of clothes in car.

Make use of various hotel toiletries at home so that unfamiliar scents become commonplace. Or since travel has been down, just switch up the soaps/lotions/etc. from time to time. For those who can no longer go to the gym, take up outdoor activities like jogging/biking. Bring back takeout curry afterward.

Just curious, is your SO that suspicious of you mongering? Can't you just say you are going out for a while? Do you have to have such an elaborate plan? Sounds like there are trust issues, no?
I know a lot of places are closed and it might be awkward to just "go out" but if there is complete trust in the relationship, why would she care where or what you are doing?
Just go out and have fun. The soaps aren't that noticeable are they? Change of clothes? why? It's just a 2 hour with commute time investment.
