Exactly. I've gotten things like that in the past. I've just blocked the number. Use a burner, at the very least it provides some anonymity so they can't just Google to find you. Not they they would bother these are lazy criminals casting a wide net for some social engineering style fleecing. They are counting on people letting their imaginations wonder without rationalizing things.

Yea I use a burner and they sent me someone else’s name and address lmao screw them don’t panic. It’s just an attempt, doubt any of them are about it and will actual “hold your family hostage” or whatever they say

It happened to me but the guy pretended like he was law enforcement and wanted me to take a class. Lmao wither that or get arrested.

This is just a popular scam. There are even articles online about this. Been happening all over the country. just block the number and tell him to fuck off.
