Just wondering if anybody finds themselves changing their habits or "taking a break" from the normal routine due to all the Corona virus talk? From what I understand from some friends in the business is that things have really seemed to slow down across the board. Thoughts?

Not necessarily. Some spas are still doing quite well. One I know had 20 customers yesterday and 11 the day before. On the other hand some aren’t doing as well but like Wayne said, there are other things going on. If the Coronavirus is keeping people away its because the market is tanking. And older mongers with 401ks with large balances took an enormous hit this past week.

Problem is unless you are a regular, you don't know who/when went on "vacation". I think most are staying away from the mainland home but the incubation period is 10 -14 days before symptoms appear so I've got a hold on AMPs till mid March

I was going to make a visit but now I'm going to wait.

I see now there are travel warnings not just about China but from a part of South Korea also.

If you are healthy it probably won't kill you but the problem is that it is super highly contagious. I've been hearing it's possible that if one person gets it at work the company will have to shut down because it's spreads so rapidly and easily.

I'm not trying to freak anyone out and I have never wanted to say this out loud.

But I have always thought if the terrorists wanted to wipe us out all they had to do was infect 1 prostitute with whatever.

Since one man goes to multiple women and those multiple women each go with multiple men, you can see how the math rapidly multiplies. This is not terrorism but it's the same idea with the multiplication.

And don't forget if you become infected and you are around anyone elderly or children or anyone that their immune system is weak that person could die.

That one case that they can't figure out where that person got the virus, I could believe it came from a working girl.

If that is the case there, or wherever, there will be lag time period, and then it will spread wildly and massively and they will not be able to contain it.

Do as you wish but I am staying away for now.

And also I think it's possible that girls are being smuggled over here that may have it and not know it and either they already are here or they will be here shortly.

Think carefully.

Flushing, NY and Los Angeles, CA are the epicenters where Asian immigrants immigrate to work in this country. Both epicenters have Asian physicians for efficient and effective communication for Asian patients. Would it be possible for Asian physicians to withhold the actual symptom and diagnose their Asian patients with different symptoms if they may happen to carry unknown cvirus? They are here to work like all of us. Just wondering.

This situation breaks my heart and is very stressful for everyone.

I have been told that I am susceptible to pneumonia due to being diagnosed with chronic bronchitis and mild to moderate emphysema. A lifetime of smoking at play there. My doctor's answer is to have a pneumonia strain injected into my bloodstream. I would rather catch it from a provider. The only thing keeping me away at the moment is some expensive repairs to my truck. I think that everyone needs to focus on keeping their immune systems functioning at max. There are many more diseases where that came from.

@ tuddles:
Your comment about the Asian doctors keeping info from their patients. Is true. Their job is to keep them healthy and working. I found out the hard way. I was in a relationship with a provider for 5 months, she lived with me, and I took her to work and back. She did the requisite trip to Flushing each month to restock supplies and attend to any immediate medical conditions. In throwing out the trash, I found a bottle of medicine that is prescribed for Hepatitis B. Upon her return I confronted her and she said the doctor said to take it for "stomach problems". Fortunately, my primary, who knows my activities, had me get the 3 shot Hep B vaccine which I had completed the month prior to meeting this provider who ended up with me for 5 months. She was in search of a green card. I was tested for Hep B again and although I was OK, my primary gave me a booster JIC. Our relationship didn't last long after that. They get treated quite often for many things related to their profession, such as cystitis, UTI, and many for a variety of "stomach problems". So your comment was accurate, in my experience !!!

Thank you @bs2000 for sharing with us. Dr Wang wrote a short op-ed from an international hospital last night encouraging many people to have themselves checked as soon as possible.

This is more of a lung disease than a flu type. protect yourself. I am on the shelf for at least month while this works through.

Good thought. I'm on the shelf for a little bit due to finances. It's making me crazy. Trying to fill the void by watching Momoland and Blackpink videos. Not quite as good but it helps.

Look back in history with all the crazy outbreaks everyone thought was the end of the world. Be reasonably smart here and stop watching TV and the news. Stop buying in to all this hype! my god WTF! So many things were going to kill us all!! Too many people live for the drama. Just enjoy yourselves.
You sound very familiar to the advice coming from the white house. I'll stick with the facts and the experts here.

Just curious, why do you thing girls are being smuggled over here? There has never been any evidence of that. The only people that rant on about smuggled women are anti prostitution zealots.

I agree that it might be a good idea to lay low for awhile. I most likely won't go to strip clubs for a while. This virus is just as communicable as a cold or the flu but 20 times deadlier than the flu. But possible smuggled women ain't the problem.
