It is pretty typical Japanese people are super xenophobic. Foreigners aren't welcome, merely tolerated as tourists. I've walked into establishment where they say "no foreigners" other times I get the only "these girls see gaijin" a lot of times those are new girls or the homely ones.

I always thought she was Japanese but perhaps you are correct. I would agree that she is probably late 30's and is on the skinny side. I would say a GND look.
