What is the deal with providers saying to come with a pre-paid gift card or an Amazon gift card? Is that some kind of a scam? Seems strange as normally cash is king.

It's been explained elsewhere, but yes this is 99% sure a scam. They will have you buy the gift card, then when you are outside the location they will ask that you send a picture of the card numbers. They will then quickly use the cards and ghost you. As you said, cash is king. The only way I would consider another method of payment is if it is a highly reviewed provider

Really not a scam, you can buy advertising without leaving legal name and other identifying items

Umm what? It sounds like you may be confused.

How many providers have you seen where you pay via gift card instead of cash?
Very real and possible...if cityx wasn’t down I would show you. I went to a provider last year who wanted $100 cash and $60.00 Best Buy gc and she was precise about me bringing receipt, I ask why and she told me she needed to send bitcoin home. I said ok and complied. It makes no sense to send someone a gift card before you seal the deal but when you arrive is different story. Mostly independent providers do that

Alright well I'm sure there are providers like this who exist. My original point still stands. 99% likely a scam, stick to cash, unless the provider has been reviewed before and other mongers can vouch that they will accept a gift card.

I've personally dealt with a scam where they ask for gift cards. Don't know why anyone would waste their time going to a store and buying gift cards when they can just pay cash elsewhere.

I'm not talking about someone tracking the payment back to you. I'm talking about them spending the gift card and then ghosting you. Getting scammed...

If its a provider you don't know and they are asking for a gift card info upfront BEFORE you meet her, its a scam.
If its a reputable provider and she's asking for you to give her a gift card instead of cash WHEN you meet, its legit. Many advertising sites accept specific gift cards as a form of payment, so if she doesn't want to use her actual cc to pay for ads, it might be convenient for her to have you get it since its something she'll need to buy anyway.

. Yes. It is a scam about 5 girls had asked me for gift cards like eBay, walmart, etc. once you tell those girls you have a gift card they ask you for the cards #'s. Once you give them the numbers they have your money & it's gone. Never give gift card , credit card , & money to any stranger. A majority of those girls do not even exist. Recently a site CityxGuide has been shut & the owner has been arrested. I'm glad it has happened. He & his staff had been taking those gift card #'s & cashed them in. The customers all lost their money those bastards. Right now I don't even know where to go. Stay alert.

They are all scams. Never give deposits, money, gift cards, or anything to strangers. 5 girls have already asked me. Some of them aren't even the girls shown on the sites. They are guys who post pictures of girls. A recent site was shut down by the FBi. That is CityxGuide.com. Now I do not know where to go or to trust.

You should never give a girl gift card numbers before meeting them. It's the same as giving them money. Now from what I know from providers you need a gift card ( best buy, home depot) to post on Cityxguide so maybe that's why they requested it.
