Yes! used to go to Magic Spa on 611. Get there around 1 in the morning. Kay was the mamasan when I started going there and she always had good girls but I always wanted her. Eventually she left and there was a girl, Ming, who was there for a long time. Must have had her about 20 times before they closed down.
I remember that magazine well. The main difference, though, was that you could read The Village Voice in public and no one would bat an eye because you could be looking for a music venue or the personals or whatever. If you're reading Screw magazine in public, you're not exactly being subtle about what you're reading it for (hint: it ain't the articles).

Late 20's early 30's? A bachelor party and some guys were looking in the yellow pages for 'washies' in Philly. After the strippers left were all hit the MAC machines and were on our way over the bridge. We took 2 cars. Lost the car with the bachelor in it, pre everyone with a cell phone. We stopped about about 6 'washies' asking if a short guy with a literal (bowling) ball and chain was in there. Most of the managers had no idea of what we were talking about. The last place we all just decided to go in for a 'washie'.
I started at 1819 Ranstead, then found on-line sites like this. Everyone on-line was talking about Callowhill 1442. I soon found out why. That still is the most amazing place I have ever been to above Westy's.

I started to late to experience Callowhil. My understanding was that Bella's/1041 was the reseerection of Callowhill.
I started at 61, and had some luck at first but when I discovered Spa Hunters the whole game exploded. Bella's quickly became my go to place.
It has been a wonderful ride for the 8 years since then.
