Got a call from this number claiming to be an FBI agent, asking question about a text I sent someone I saw on AS, don't know exactly who. They said it's a missing person's number and I am the last one she contacted. I told them I couldn't talk because I was at work but will return their call to the precinct they claim to be calling from and hanged up. They tried calling again but didn't pick up. Should I be worried? Because I already am.

Did you perform a reverse look up on the number to make sure he is who he says he is? Also, any way to confirm she’s really missing with another monger / thru these threads? Freaky. Goodluck

Reverse search that number appears to be a Far rockaway police station.

The FBI have offices in NYC why would they be calling from a NYPD station, and why from the front desk?

Real talk, I would ignore it. If the FBI or NYPD want to talk to you and you don’t return their call they’ll get in their cars and drive to you. If by Wednesday you don’t hear from them it was 100% a scam.

On the off chance this is real and Law Enforcement shows up SAY NOTHING except to ask for a lawyer.

That's exactly what I thought. I'll keep you all posted. I haven't gotten any calls after that last one. It got me stressed out, had to go release some tension at my favorite spot on Roosevelt. Never texting those numbers from hillside hotel anymore they seem to be fake 90% of the time.

My rule of thumb is to never answer calls or texts on my burner from any number that I have not contacted first. I hope you’re using a burner.
