Curious if anyone else ran into this. For Screening Purposes, an independent provider asked for my LinkedIn profile. I thought it was bit odd. Why would this help them screen someone? I said no thank you to that request. Has anyone else had this request? Is it common?

Yes its common, I have seen some escorts requiring that as a verification like if you don't have anyone you can use as a reference or they don't take personal references. Some providers and agencies dont accept references from other escorts even if you have 100 girls willing to vouch for you. Id never provide that, theres always someone else who wouldnt require it

I believe msa asks for this for “your” (their) safety. I doubt any of these people are disposing of this information securely after the screening. Sorry.

Certain providers will ask for your Employer’s or LinkedIn information as a form of verification. I know many gentlemen who have shared this without repercussions as the providers they were seeing were reputable with a long history. Typically, this was requested when extended dates at a high price point were being considered and the Companion used it as a way of eliminating tire kickers.

I remember back when you could find lots of regular women responding to your Craigslist ads (around 2008-2012 for me). I was always amazed at how many would use their regular emails, which let you find them on Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. I never had any bad intentions, just wanted make sure they weren't LE or obvious psychos/drug addicts/criminals. I've always wondered, though, how many of these ladies ended up getting extorted for freebies or more (wow, I bet your Mom/boss/boyfriend would *love* to see these pics you sent and the replies to my ad...). I can't imagine giving out a phone number or email that could be traced back to me, let alone an online profile on social media.
It's fun looking up these women again years later. One cute girl who gave me 3 hours for $150 in 2009 is now a bank branch manager according to LinkedIn. Another is now a cop, lol.

it's so easy to find out info on people when you know their real name, then can find spouses, bosses, public records like real estate, etc. etc. Insane to have your info out there. You are so right about the CL thing, I use to mess with that back in the day and they would use their real names send you great real pics - those were some interesting times back then haha

I have a fake linkedin, iG, and FB. When they ask to see it I upload a pic. When they say OK I take it down. I'm not worried about them screen shotting it. They have pics of you on their security cams anyway.

Full disclosure I’ve found a random pic of a guy a few pounds heavier wearing a hat and glasses that resembles me. I’ve sent that in the past then tell them I’ve lost a few pounds since the pic when I see them. Never had a problem.
I rarely do that though - so many options available.

And just for the record the random pic is so unclear (I cropped a group photo) that you would never recognize the guy on the street. He is wearing a hat and glasses and is completely incognito. So no bs about me using this guy’s identity.
