So are these new crack downs keeping everybody away or are you still mongering but keeping it on the DL? There are very few new reviews but some new talent out there that I would like to see. I guess I will have to TOFTT. PM me if you have any intel on the fine establishments in DE.
Can't speak for others but you can calculate the odds of being in the crosshairs when LE rolls up. Number of spas, hours of operation, etc

It's always non-zero, but assume 3 closed per month if that's your worst case scenario.

I've been focusing one one provider (elevated to ATF status in my eyes) just across the DE/MD border in Elkton, so no new reviews from me recently. When ya find something you really, really like,...
The threatened LE presence hasn't affected my style, but maybe I'm a fatalist.
I am curious about the newly arrived talent, but guess I will learn about it second hand until my new ATF splits for NYC next week.

Anyone know if Oasis was a recent victim? I tried contacting last week, Mon or Tue and my buddy tried yesterday and no response by phone or text. My last visit sounded like only 1 provider was on site and that was 3-4 weeks back.

I have been in contact with the owner who has sold the business. I have no other current information but will update when I receive.

… calculate in that they rarely raid on weekends and seem to like Fridays .. the courts are closed on the weekends and tie up anyone arrested for a few extra day’s.. and the Friday before a long holiday weekend is even more desirable in their demented way of thinking…
.. I had one of my fav places in Nj raided on a Friday before Presidents Day back a few years ago..Arrested MMS and a couple of Girls and couldn’t find where they were incarcerated for almost a week.. my GF at time just missed being there for the festivities.. lucky break.. we had to bail out the MMS’s Yorkie from the local kennel that the LE put her in .. LoL.. but that’s another story..
.. there’s definitely something in the air right now and its going to affect our hobby so be careful out there my friends and keep us all informed..

I just wonder why this is their focus now. With everything going on in this state and country; it’s a weird focus. I get that it’s low hanging fruit but that still doesn’t explain it. They know damn well that this isn’t a human trafficking thing. That’s a joke. So I just wonder what is really going on…

It’s an easy win: neighborhoods never like having AMPs in their backyard, and it’s a lot easier to target these relatively visible businesses than to actually address the issues leading to exploited teenagers, which is the actual trafficking problem. Then you have to admit that the foster and child protection services are bad, that schools don’t serve abused youth well, that there aren’t enough resources for homeless teens, etc.

But arresting a couple of adult ladies who just want to stay below the radar and make some money? “Tough on crime!”

I'd like to hear back if there's more news from the owner. I passed by today and big For Sale sign on the building. It was ripe, due to location to possible LE intervention. Thanks

I just drove by the spa wellness on route 40 in Elkton just now. Or whatever they’re calling themselves….. Didn’t look good closed sign and orange sticker on the door…

I drove out yesterday evening to take a closer look.
It looks like a piece of orange construction paper, and bears the following message:
As a personal child
we are closed today
we are open on
wednesdays
-:giggle:-

This doesn't look like the handiwork of the MSP.
As a follow-up, they texted me back this morning that they all went up to NYC for the day to celebrate the boss's son's birthday.
She seemed a bit indignant that there was so much fuss, but I mentioned that we were just concerned.

Haven't seen this place reviewed in a while and have not been there in years but Oriental Wellness in Trolley Square busted and boarded up.

Of course, you can't have a task force without acronyms:
illicit massage establishments (IMEs)
Human Trafficking Unit (HTU)

"Victim services specialists also helped provide assistance to an employee who was identified as a likely victim of human trafficking officials said."
Hmmm, a likely victim! To vindicate their whole purpose in life. Three spas knocked over, and they found one "likely" victim.
Then, I wonder - what happened to this poor victim?
If the "victim" can be certified as a victim of HT then there are all sorts of benefits that can be brought. But that doesn't mean they will be. They can get a special visa if that's needed, but in my experience, most in this arena are here intentionally for various reasons.

When I was doing my legal research on these issues in the wake of the RBS demolition action, a lawyer told me that there is a process to legal eviction: that a legal eviction notice (explaining the basis for the action) must be served with some sort of grace period for the tenant to make right or make alternative arrangements.
It doesn't sound like that's what's happening in these cases, though - it sounds like the fuzz comes in and serves an immediate eviction notice, with gratuitous confiscation of property.
There might be a provision that a grace period is not warranted in some cases of extreme exacerbating circumstances, and the (alleged) sexual slavery of poor trafficked victims might qualify there.
If this trend continues, I'm thinking of contacting the ACLU to see about exactly how legal all of the shit-storming is. Assuming that the/a lease-holder is an American citizen, the reality of Constitutional rights might trump baseless allegations of human trafficking/sexual slavery.
Let's all keep informed here.
In actuality, whether the lease holder is American or not should be irrelevant. We afford all legal residents the same rights, and even offer many to illegal residents. I would be willing to wager the illegals aren't signing leases, only the legal residents. But as you know, when RBS went down, the owner (who likely was involved) posted a sign in the window that they were Evicted by DSP. That really makes me wonder. They certainly could get the business license pulled, but evicted a couple days later? Nah, don't think so.

Just adding Bluewave to this list. So that leaves about 6 places left in Wilmington (greater Wilmington area), 2 in Bear, 3 in Newark. Pickings are getting slimmer and possibility is increasing of being in wrong place/wrong time. The bright side, some of the spas on the other end of the spectrum may see a burst of new customers inquiring.

I just don't see how you can visit a SPA in DE right know and risk getting rolled up in this mess. BW was sandwiched between a vape shop and an asian store. Why would either one of them complain? You would think that the Asian store might be tied to the people who run these joints or would at least be pressured not to say anything. Plus the vape shop does not have the highest moral standards to care what is happening next door. I think LE and the DOJ know where all of these spots are and are just picking them off one or two at a time. New place will pop up and they are just going to have to move to screening. For me that is the only way I will go somewhere from now on.
