Depends upon your budget. MPs in China (Shanghai in my experience) will pamper you with shower, body rub or full therapeutic massage, followed by an "adult" experience. Depending upon the location, they are high volume (cheap and quick) or high touch (relatively pricey and love you long time). Best to move away from the commercial establishments and find a provider or two who can visit your hotel. The price can quickly drop from $100 an hour to $200 all night long, or cheaper! The rates quoted are 2010-12, pre-COVID. The market has changed for sure.
If they like you, they'll connect you with their friends! It got to the point where I saw three providers: My "first" every night upon arrival and prior to departure, the "girlfriend" who I saw every other night, and the "specialist" who popped in once a week for a "special" treat. She showed me how to please Asian women, fed me well, and really opened my eyes!

I've just been to 3 AMPs in the USA (these in the last few months and yesterday!).... so I can't speak too much on how it is here really.
So far I've met with Korean women in two places and two chinese women in the other amp. In my first two massages I got what seems to be a pretty standard TS to oil massage to HE. In my most recent experience I purposefully went to a Chinese run amp and my limited mandarin as well as the real interest to know them and knowledge even of their home "towns" (read: massive mega chinese megacity) this all got me a very worthwhile experience with four hands and bbbj with both, and FS with one (the other was called out to receive a customer lol).
As a foreigner in China, things like this are very transactional and s3x is that way in my ons experiences and personal dating life too, ie hesitating to make a broad generalization but, still, once a Chinese or otherwise East Asian girl is in your place shes made her decision to sleep with you.
The Chinese KTVs and whore houses/rooms and call girls and massage parlors are all pretty fuckin sweet. Much better quality women and way younger and for a fraction of the price, but in china the woman is likely to be on her phone during FS even, there is little/no faking orgasms etc, spitting loogies is acceptable and commonly i've had pros bail on me with excuse like "meiguo de gege tai da le" (american big brother is just way too big). China is not a safe place to be conducting yourself in this manner and I was taking a major risk every time I put myself out there in one of these smoky, dimlit and mob/gov run operation. Especially moronic when HK was what it was (RIP) and all of SE Asia just a short cheap plane ride away. But the allure is in the fact that these women are some of the absolute hottest on the planet and deeply feminine/submissive, oh and did I mention that ive had it all full GFE including HF and tip for .4 USD in Shenzhen, China. This was in the straight up sewer alleyways yet with absolute smokeshow model looking women, all young. Scary to think on it really.
That said, in China most more reasonably found FS (outcall) is very quick and unenthused and usually starts at 600 RMB or around 85-100 USD (in a tier one city). Very affordable. Its much cheaper in SE Asia elsewhere for a literal boat load more so, yeah, though interesting I'll stick to NYC for my Chinese top talent at home and of course when I return in the fall to living in China I will use my confidence and charisma to slam amateur talents I find.
Back on topic: chinese massage parlors can be an incredibly luxurious experience at a good price, a full lineup even including POS stations where you can see every girls stats (even those not currently working) and filter by breast size, "age," appearance or kink even (I would take my gfs to these places and we would be invited to have sex in the room after a couples massage, and on several occasions did I have 3sums with my date and the massage therapist). On the flip side, Chinese men can be quite unforgiving when it comes to a few things and smoking is one of them. I was often disgusted by the smell and amount of smoke in the air at some of these even more luxury spas in Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, I mean really I was everywhere, Changsha, Hubei, etc etc. so I very much enjoy the sole experience of the Chinese AMP here in USA and likewise I have had a fantastic time at the other two AMPs despite only a HE.
TLDR: SE Asia for real mongering and CHEAP. NYC for quality Chinese. AMPs in USA are fantastic! AMPs in China aren't worth the risk, still awesome.

I very much agree with your note that a bit of time and attention and developing any real connection will open all the friends and other providers and some really fun and other worldly experiences (read: mffffff). There is absolutely a "way" to please Asian women. Same for women of all various parts of the world. Hell yeah!
As for the prices, it has certainly risen if you're looking for the "pampered" experience that is so so highly recommended. Typically Id see an hour for $125-150 in tier one cities and even with my Chinese coworkers/biz partners see similar pricing. KTVs are much cheaper cost to bring a girl back or have her there for one hour but the real cost is in reserving the room and all the beers that they basically force you to pay for (often most literally pouring out, on themselves at least). Probably you've experienced something like this.
In tier 2 cities prices are cut in half and I've not experienced tier 3 city mongering so I havent yet got much to say... yet.
I've never had more than MFF, my senses would overload! Only visited Shanghai, but went several times for a week at a pop. IMHO, Singapore had much hotter women of many nationalities (Chinese, Indian, Filipina, Malaysian, etc.), but ridiculously expensive. Legal though, which meant bringing them back to your hotel was totally fine.
I explicitly remember a street walker I picked up in Hong Kong 20+ years ago- Sushila was her name.
