Very often this gift is taken for granted (many guys are gifting them) and you are not getting much bang for your buck. Also, many are not happy having to work during this time. I tend to believe that you do things that" separate yourself from the pack". Lots of guys are give red envelops and often it becomes expected (like bonus time at work, expected not appreciated for many). You must monger at a different level than I do. Most of the providers I know could make half the lower figure on a good year. And 2023 was the first time in a few years that at lot of them had decent income. Giving my ATF a red envelope helped them through the tough times.

I don't disagree, but not every provider are well known AMP girls. I know what my ATF makes, because she's asked me for advice about her taxes.
Never said money is all it takes. But Red Envelopes is more than just money. Like you said, it's part of the culture, and demonstrating respect for their culture goes much farther than just the cash.

Respect for their tradition is nice but we are in the USA and these are the same girls who call us foreigners (so much for respect)
