Does anyone have a sure fire way to stop smelly feet and sweaty feet?

It's a total buzzkill feeling ashamed walking into an AMP, taking off my shoes, and it smelling like fritos, doritos, whatever chips it is for the day of the week.

I've stopped visiting providers because of this to be honest.
I even spray this thing into my shoes, but it only seems to mask the smell for a few hours even less!

Baking soda in your shoes when your not wearing them can absorb odor but it leaves white residue In them and on your socks. They sell little plastic balls that you can put in your shoe overnight that I've had sucess with for my work boots.

Best thing that works for me though is to have a new pair of shoes that you only wear after a shower and clean socks, and going out somewhere. This has worked for me of course even with limited wear you may have to get a new pair every 3 to 6 months. If you only visit providers once or twice a month though doing this method should have them last a year or so. The point is to be in them as little as you can maybe bring another pair of older shoes that once your done with your visit you go to your car and get out the new ones as soon as possible.

Visit a doctor sometimes it's something simple like diet ect. My doctor also told me in the summer or when it's nice in general wear open toed sandal with no socks as much as possible. Helps you not suffocate your feet which promotes bad odor from the glands that produce sweat in your feet. This helped a lot my feet dont sweat nearly as much in the colder months now that I primarily wear flip flops in the warmer months

Thank you very much! I will try those balls in my shoe. And I do need to get another pair of shoes to alternate with. It's frustrating because I'm sure I've "contaminated" my next pairs in the past with the same funky odor too ugh.

Cut your toenails , clean em. Change shoes or sneakers more frequently. Dont sleep with socks on. Let your feet breathe from time to time.

1. Get a shoe dryer. It’s like a hair dryer but for shoes when you get home. Next day they are completely dry and not damp. That’s your problem. Shoes are always damp like the sewer breeding bacteria.

2. get extra socks and change during the day if needed. Or extras shoes to stay dry

3. Wash vigorously so the fungus dies at some point.

Try colloidal silver in a spray bottle. No medicinal smell since it's silver nano particles suspended in purified water. Probably have a little dry time before you put socks and shoes on.

I think there's some good grooming tips in this thread but here's a couple things you can buy that will kill the nasty foot smell. Sorry but these are way better than home remedies for the smell. You should try them if your feet sweat. If its bad now wait till summer!

Any foot odor spray like Odor Eaters or Dr Scholls. You can get these very easily from Amazon or at any pharmacy.

Kiwi Fresh Force Shoe spray. You can get this off Amazon.

I don’t have this problem anymore, it seems to fade with age. But I did have issues before and it was more than just an amp issue because I was frequently in work situations with no shoes on, like dinners in Asian restaurants.
I dealt with it by buying many pairs of identical shoes, and having a pair at work and a pair in my car just for these events. Stuff them with old newspapers, and have a pair of clean socks. Then I’d change over right before, and wash my feet with alcohol prep pads. I did wash my feet in rubbing alcohol all the time too. Anyway worked for me.

One can wash, spray or use whatever else that is available for foot odor, but the focus remains on the odor, the cause of it. Gut health is priority, we are what we eat as the saying goes. We can all learn from these Asian lovelies, how clean and tasty they can be, from their daily diet consumption.

treat yourself to a pedicure beforehand! seriously if you have the time and some extra cash, and if you go to Asian nail salon, well, you could potentially convert your nail technician to something more intimate after a few visits. Find one that has a table in the back. Go in with no expectations, then who knows?
