Yup that's what will happen if the RA gets busted.
But you'd be surprised how often this happens. I've been propositioned by POs for 2 different orgs to rent an apartment for a similar $1,000/ month. I've also be asked by numerous independent RAs to rent a motel room. Once i rented the motel room for 2 weeks for an independent RA but we were close and we would hang out there after work.
I can't count the number of times I've gone to visit a RA and after i punched in the gate code, a white dude name showed up

Honestly don’t think this is true. The ones I know are more into asians or other Koreans who are gangsters or connections with gangs. If that’s not the case, then someone who is rich so they can retire from this job. Most of the customers are Asians… Chinese, Indian, Filipino and sometimes Koreans. It’s a bit different in San Mateo though I heard. There are more white people there. But in general the companies are operated by Asians so they can bring others from Korea to here. At least most of the time.
